That’s a shame but with the current weather we are having it would have been a big negative for him. Hopefully hes back soon.

Funambule Sivola is one of my few ante-post bets to survive this year + he is certainly the only one that I have at a much bigger price, having bet him in January

I really do think that he can run a big race, although his win on that going at Newbury is a concern for sure

Captain Guinness is a horse I’d have taken little interest in but for a preview podcast where Rachel Blackmore, when asked for her best bet at Cheltenham, nominated him EW. He seems to have been around for a long time, but Captain Guinness is joint youngest (with Funambule Sivola) in this Queen Mother Champion Chase, and he has been running well lately. I have backed him at 20/1 in the ‘without market’ with William Hill.

Looks like the ground will suit energuamene. I’m sure he will be sent on at the top of the hill and stays further than 2 miles. Cracking race. Ground could be very soft by race time.

Sticking with Editeur, NRNB from weeks ago, at 20s.
Also have him in a long-standing double with Fury Road (Ryanair, at 20s)

Best of luck to all :good:

It’s not a vintage renewal so Energumene for the repeat.

    Bloodless
The calls that Engerumene and Shishkin were overrated surely have evaporated
    Going went against Edwardstone :-(

Bonus for the Closutton staff out with the whitewash for the fences. Jumped very nicely. Well done Joe with the Captain Guinness bet for 2nd, I thought he wanted quicker ground.

Impressive; travelled strongly, really charged up the hill.
