Have gone in again on SHEISHYBRID at 33/1 with betfair and added his stablemate JESSE EVANS 12/1

Wasn’t much impressed with this lot. I thought GRAND PROVIDENCE could improve again from the trial victory, it’s also about time the winner of said trial follows up with the Cesarewitch (haven’t looked to see who the last one was).
I’ll have a piece of him at 17/2 and a nibble on JESSE EVANS, placed in the recent Irish version at 10/1 both 8 places. Guten Tag.

I’ve added Motazzen who looks too big at 50/1 to 6 places. Good luck.

I put up Bashful Boy earlier in the thread at 50s, but I see Paddy
has gone 66/1 7 places. I’ll have a nibble at that too.

I’ll put up what I wrote in the Meydan thread for anyone
    interested……………

I think Bashful Boy 66/1 7 places with Paddy has to have a chance.
I don’t know a lot about the apprentice Pipe has brought in to take
the ride, Aiden Brooks, but at least he takes 5lbs off. The 2nd fav
Grand Providence won the Cesarewitch Trial last time out, getting 12lb
from Bashfull Boy who ran a very quiet race in last all the way round
until pulled out, without asking much, but still finished 5th some 10L
behind GP. With GP’s penalty and the 5lbs taken off by Brooks, that’s a
turnaround of 16lbs for a tenderly ridden 10l 5th. If it were his (Pipe’s)
old man and I were a bookie, I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole.

While I personally think the rain has boosted the chances of Pied Piper and Wordsworth (shocking draw, though) plus it’s been to the detriment of Vino Victrix, I wouldn’t entirely give up hope on the latter if the times of the first two races today suggest it’s drying out.

He’s 26 on the machine now and that’s at least double the odds he ought to be if he had his ground – ran a cracker in this last year and fairly treated.

But if it’s still tacky and a bit holding after the rain I really don’t think that will help him.

The Shunter is fascinating – well in on Chase form! – and Jesse Evans is on a fair Flat mark compared to its mark over timber.

    Cracking Ces tbf.

At least I have a bit of value with 8/1 Pied Piper and 50/1 Wordsworth.

Unfortunately I think the latter has had his chance ruined by the draw, so I have added The Shunter at 13 on Betfair. He does look potentially well in.

I think you’ve got a decent backer’s book going there, CAS.

    I’ve done similar.

I’ll stick with my antepost ew 2 of Pied Piper 8s, and Vino Victrix 10s 5 places. Trainer says he wants the slow side of good for the latter so it depends if it dries out enough. Pied Piper may well win anyway.

Can’t see Wordsworth winning this off 9-12 and I am tempted by Goshen even though I deserted him some time ago. Final answer, Jesse Evans and EW Vino Victrix.

The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.

I had to add Goshen , the lunatic will love the ground , so my 3 are Pied Piper , The Grand Visir ( he’s way to big a price with some his lines of form ) and Goshen

Pied Piper is absolutely friendless and drifted back out to 7/1.

Although I’m with Not So Sleep ap at 33-1 ew, I would like to have another pair in this. I decided to go with Zenon at 33-1, and Golden Shot at 22-1.

I think that it’s a very good Cesarewitch this year, possibly as interesting a running that I can remember

I’m with Kris. Zenon looks well handicapped if he’s the same horse he was in 2020. His comeback run was to blow the cobwebs away and take out the freshness. Blinkers return today, low weight and Saffie is a good jockey booking. Only managed 25/1 but 8 places

Lot Of Joy added (25s BOG) to my ante-post of
    Golden Shot (25s).

Best of Luck to all :good:

I’ve joined Kris and TYT on Zenon, for the reasons TYT mentioned and form on the ground, and also MC Muldoon at a big ew price- has form over a trip and travelled well enough (too well) on this sort of ground on his most recent start. I get the impression he’s a stuffy horse and possibly needed those two runs to bring him on. His middling draw should allow him to slot in and conserve a bit more energy for the business end.

    GRAND PROVENCE

    OCEAN WIND

    Both each way

the trial winner and the bottom weight on the traverse has to defy a penalty also though. Balding and Pipe the players in this scenario both have mountains to climb but both will relish the trip,,,
