    Passed away at the age of 31 on the farm he was born at. A winner of the Ascot Gold Cup, Lonsdale Cup, Yorkshire Cup, Northumberland Plate and Sagaro Stakes. It sounds like he had a good, long retirement with people who loved him very much.

    Sad to hear he has gone but good to know he had such a long and happy retirement.

    He was a horse who progressed through handicaps right up to Group 1. I remember watching him win a small handicap at Nottingham one day.

    Seeing Celeric’s name here was a real blast from the past. I remember him well as a very tough and classy stayer. Wonderful to hear he had such a long life and was well-loved.
