OMG
The Coal Hole is still going? I used to drink there when i was …15
Used to be a bit of a dump…
Racing Page is obviously good for me (remember it as the Cobwebs Pru?)
Good thing about Richmond is that theres lots of options if you want to move on.
Naturally i prefer richmond

I believe I do. From when I lived in Twickenham 20 or so years ago…
Coal Hole is OK to start with. It may be easier to meet and move on an hour or so later, with the pub of choice determined by the size and preferences of the turnout.
September 26, 2007 at 09:51 #116502Some Nice pubs between Chiswick, Kew & Richmond.
As an aside, does anyone fancy going to Ascot for the QE2? Only folk i go racing with not here. PM me if interested.

September 26, 2007 at 11:05 #116510The Racing Page sounds good to me. Though I dont believe they pay much attention to racing.
September 26, 2007 at 11:18 #116512Richmond on SWT out of Waterloo too of course. Quickest trains about 15 mins from there. 10 and 40 past …but loads of others too
Richmond on a Tues may be more relaxed (but not dead by any means) than up town too
September 26, 2007 at 12:41 #116534I’d be up for that ~ would prefer a central location, but Richmond hardly a schlep.
September 26, 2007 at 15:48 #116552What about http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/ … t_Brompton then?
This is not exactly central, but not exactly way out either. I have been there and it is perfectly nice – they do nuts as well…
September 26, 2007 at 15:54 #116554I’m on for all mentioned.
October 11, 2007 at 16:43 #119002Guys. I will do a proper invite for this next week, but would it be possible to move this back one day to Wednesday 24th October at 7:30 at The Racing Page pub in Richmond?
I am now busy on the Tuesday and wouldn’t easily be able to make it.
October 11, 2007 at 16:57 #119005That’s fine for me.
October 11, 2007 at 19:07 #119034It’s in the diary for me, Prufrock.

October 11, 2007 at 20:07 #119054Quite scary isn’t it Dave. Not a pint of lager in sight
I believe the tipple of choice in the delicate parts of the south is a light shandy with an umbrella.
October 11, 2007 at 20:14 #119057this should be posted as a "No northerners meet"
October 11, 2007 at 20:19 #119058Who you calling northerner?
Anyway you won’t be so cocky when Boris gets in
