Sad to hear of his retirement , and wish him all the best for his future.
I thought that he was destined for the stars when he first burst on the scene.
Absolutely terrible luck with injuries , including a horrendous broken leg.
I hope that he is fully healed and able to fully enjoy his retirementMarch 24, 2023 at 22:25 #164123230 is a very young age to retire but he had horrendous bad luck with injuries. It is tough in Ireland if you are not riding regularly for Mullins, Elliot or De Bromhead.
Good luck to him and I hope he stays involved with racing.
March 25, 2023 at 03:18 #1641260O’Leary was not v complimentary about him during the ITV interview, which perhaps says more about O’Leary than Cooper. Be interesting to learn the full story of why he became unfashionable.

March 26, 2023 at 14:23 #1641538Don’t know the behind-the-scenes stuff but he was a very talented youngster.
I think the life of the jockey, particularly those struggling for whatever reason, is a lot tougher than most of us imagine.
