Oh no; I was listening to the race and heard he’d taken a heavy fall but was hoping not to see his name here. Paddock commentator said he was a stunner, and he was well thought of at the Jardine yard. Had such a bright future ahead of him. RIP
Has anyone else noticed that the new so called ‘cushioned hurdle’ at Kelso and other courses that have them, don’t go down easily like trad hurdles when hit. They bring horses down very quickly on their necks resulting in instant death. Take a look at today’s race if in doubt – awful sight and horses shouldn’t have to face these crap obstacles. RIP mate, you deserved better.
