Thanks rab123, I remember now.

It is so similar to the system suggested to me many moons past whilst I visited a now defunct forum site by the owner/creator “Jim” but the name escapes me. As I recall the price minimum being 11/2 but I cannot remember any limitation of race typr or declared number of runners.

Do you have any results data at all?

I see from your posts there are some good priced places and wonder if you play for fun or how you would recommend staking.

I have just turned up the FANCY PRICES system from the Racing Ahead 20 Super Systems Booklet.

This system uses the STRONGLY FANCIED feature of the Mirror to identify one bet per day.

Rules

1. 8 – 12 runners only

2. Back the “Strongly Fancied” (SF) horse at the longest price in the betting forecast provided it is 5/1 or greater.

3. If no SF is forecast at 5/1 or greater look for the “Fancied” (F) runner provided it is 5/1 or greater.

Back the selection each way. Some days there will be qualifiers due to the stipulation about 8-12 runner races but qualifiers from this system are worth waiting for as they have a high place strike rate.

I think there is an error here and should read “Some days there will NOT be qualifiers due to the 8-12 runner races . . . . . ”

One problem I previously found with the FANCY PRICES system is repeated again today.

PENNY POT LANE 4.10 Ripon forecast Sp @ 7/1 was a non runner

ZACK MAYO 3.10 Ripon FcSp 11/2 WON @ 6/5

I do wonder if it should be operated with live prices and is something I have not got time to do!
