    Here’s a question for the stats people…

How many horses have started a season being a well beaten favourite in a class 2 handicap at York and finished off winning a grade 1 at the Breeders Cup?

    Shocking race really…!

Behkabad ‘disappointed’ because of the funereal early pace, the fast ground and the sharp track, none of which he’s faced in his 3 previous races over the distance, to which tonight’s run bears little relation, formwise.
Just my view, but, looking at the state of the turf track and bearing in mind the fast surface, SMS was entirely justified in not running Workforce, and I’d seriously doubt they’d have been allowed to to race at all, had it been in the UK.

On another forum I entered a competition for a "stable to follow". Where you pick one horse rated below 60, one below 70, two below 80, two 90 and so on. Competion was not done on "number of winners" but prize-money won by your horses.
Because I picked Coordinated Cut who won the Timeform Million in April I was well clear from an early stage.

Then the bloke who organised it went missing – "Billy The Punter" also known as "The Prophet", who advertises his punting services (those pink adverts) in the Racing Post – and the competition was stopped.

Anyway, I am going on a bit….

But guess who I put in it as an 88 rated handicapper to follow?
    Dangerous Midge! 8)

Wonder if the Breeders Cup Turf purse was enough for me to win the competition?

    Well done, Frankie.

Couldn’t give that one any chance. No excuses for the favourite or Debussy.

    One for Britain. :D

American bred horse, Italian born jockey, Irish born trainer.
