Very reasonable! Won’t even need to make 5 coffees to stay up!

It’s a bit of a sketchy race but my confidence is high and in the 1.45 at Bangor tomorrow this favourite Kepy Blanc 13/8 looks way ahead of his mark judging from his win last time out, have a watch on ATR if you’ve got an account, absolutely hosed up. I’ve chucked him in a double with Flightline.

Horse fell at the second! Hope the jockeys ok. Jumped very well last time out under a different jockey but I shan’t be backing anything ridden by this apprentice again, looked a nasty one though do hope he’s alright.

Feel bad now saying I won’t be backing him again, still no word as to how he is, fingers and toes well and truly crossed, losing a few quid feels completely irrelevant when things like this happen.

That race was voided and so got the money back, put it on a Flightline single.

Got this Base Note 11/8 in the 7.30 Kempton tonight in a double with Flightline too, the 2nd fav actually beat it early in its career but Base Note is a different horse now (not literally). Base Note has a rating of 91 but is full sibling to a peak-rated 105 horse so plenty of scope. The horse looked rather classy in both his AW wins and so his more recent turf performances don’t worry me too much, think he’s just a horse that excels on the AW. The horse had a nice tune-up race a few weeks back at Kempton and I believe will be fully fit now tonight. Also the main reason for the bet is the trainer form, Simon & Ed Crisford have won with 5 of their 8 last runners and not only that but they seem to be sending out their really good horses at the moment, such as Misty Dancer, Knight and Awaal over the last few days which leads me to believe this horse is a good deal better than his current mark.

Chezza’s been having a right good look at all the pre-entries for the Breeders’ Cup tonight.

I think the William Hill Organisation, if you can get on with them, might be the firm to focus on.

Love Reigns 8/1, Leave No Trace 12/1, Meditate 11/2 and Ce Ce 8/1 all seem to me to be uncharacteristically generously priced by those lads up in Leeds.

I tried to combine them with the meeting’s four bankers in a friendly Goliath to win just short of six figures and when I pressed submit I got the bet rejected message: “You can F right off with that, Chezza” – how rude!

Most distressing, especially as I had zero plans to cash out if I got on a roll.

Other than Sky Sports Racing, which I don’t have, is there any other way to watch Flightline live on Saturday evening?

The only shame is they interrupt the excellent American coverage by letting their own presenters talk for a bit

Chezza actually unmutes for the USA Breeders’ Cup coverage – there is no greater compliment.

Got my last treble involving Flightline tonight/tomorrow, need this fav in the 7.30 Wolverhampton (4/6) tonight with the fav in the first at Newcastle tomorrow (11/10).

Very unnecessary but I’ve always been a greedy so and so.
