I’m not. Paddy has proven that he isn’t very good on dirt, his stamina doesn’t carry as far. Ought to be in the turf, we know he appreciates a firmer surface than what he got in the Joe Hirsch last month.
That’s what worries me, he should’ve gone for the turf but he didn’t. Do they know something?
I hope not, I’ve backed Zenyatta and want her to win cause it’ll be a great story.
They know that $5 million > $3 million, and "dirt" stallions get bigger stud fees than "turf" stallions in the US. A Classic win does much more for his stallion resume than a Turf win, and much more for his owners’ bank account. Same reason Gio Ponti went for the Classic last year, but Paddy isn’t quite as good as Gio, and it’s easier to go from turf to synthetic than turf to dirt.

Did I see correct? Zenyatta 3/5 in the U.S?
I backed her at 4/1 a while back and in a double with Goldikova at 2’s today.
she’s showing 1.1 the win, 1.0 the place on the HK tote simulcast at the moment. next in the market is Quality Road at 15 then Lookin at Lucky at 18, on a pool size of HKD 4.5m.
then again, the previous race Bekhabad went off at 1.4 the win, while Dangerous Midge was 10.3 .
Dammit Zenyatta is giving me goosebumps already. I’m actually not as nervous for this one as I thought I would be-just want everything to go smoothly.
Feeling a bit tear jerky and emotional and she hasnt even run yet…. It has to go her way. It’s the only result imaginable for me.

I seriously feel devastated. Every racing fan in this country is devastated. Mike Smith will need armed security guards for the rest of his life.
I thought Zenyatta was moving poorly on the first 2f.
She had to put up with plenty of flash photography and shouting beforehand, probably put her off.
