Am I right in thinking that this Al Zarooni horse, Mutual Force in the 2.00 at Beverley, is being ridden by a brand new jockey, A. Murgia claiming seven? Anyone know anything about him please?
    Cheers

He’s been around for a couple of years Ken – came over to the Racing School in Newmarket from Sardinia and rode his first winner for Gay Kelleway. Since then he’s worked for the slightly shady Mubarak Bin Shafya in Dubai and has had a Godolphin connection since then.

Can’t add much more to what Rory’s said other than the "A" is for "Antiocco" if that’s any help Ken.

Thanks Rory. The pity is that I suspected the Godolphin second string might be worth a punt but because I knew nothing of the jockey it put me off having a touch and at 12/1 I’m kicking myself; even more so now that you mention the Dubai connection. Believing it was his first ride in public made me think the odds were stacked against a first time winner. Serves me right for not being on the ball.
    Cheers
    Ken

Is that the base for Cosa Nostra or am I getting my Mafia clans confused?

He has actually ridden 2 winners in a row now as he also rode and won on his one ride at Salisbury the other night for Botti.
