6 J’y Vole (FR)(150) (WPMullins) – RWalsh 11,07No defections at the declaration stage. Timmy Murphy, who rode Sizing Europe when he won the Greatwood Hurdle, replaces the injured Andrew Lynch. Interesting that HdeB is running a pacemaker.
May 3, 2011 at 11:51 #353476I’ve backed Big Zeb and layed Sizing Europe. Reasons stated in the article. Don’t think Sizing Europe will be in the front two home.
May 3, 2011 at 12:01 #353481I think the pacemaker will help Sizing Europe confirm Cheltenham form.

May 3, 2011 at 13:55 #353507The old Capting wasn’t far behind him last year, if at all. Plus he won here last year.
Zeb’s the established, top speed-merchant isn ‘t he? A saver, I hope.
Mordin reckons Europe caught them napping at Cheltenham. I wonder if he’s right.
May 3, 2011 at 16:29 #353537I don’t think Sizing Europe necessarily caught his rivals napping.
He is just a very good, very effective horse around Cheltenham at Championship pace.
He could be vulnerable away from Cheltenham against a horse like Captain Cee Bee (who has a solid record around Punchestown) on decent ground – Edward Harty has always insisted that his horse is better on good ground.
I love Sizing Europe and backed him for both Festival successes, but I’m going for The Captain.
May 3, 2011 at 16:37 #353538Great race.
A poor round of jumping from Captain Cee Bee. Would surly have gone very close with a cleaner round.
Sizing Europe will be very hard to beat in The Queen Mother next year arounf his beloved Prestbury Park. He’ll put them in their place again.
May 4, 2011 at 11:27 #353679Just love Big Zeb, his jumping yesterday (bar the one mistake) was an absolute joy to behold. Some form of redemption for myself for Cheltenham too!
May 4, 2011 at 13:06 #353708I’m another big fan of Sizing Europe, he’s all about Cheltenham in March and anything else is a bonus. While he’s losing these other top races like yesterday then hopefully it will reflect in his SP next March
May 4, 2011 at 22:49 #353816Now his jumping is sorted out I’d really like to see SE at 3 miles; I think he’d be hard to beat in the King George
May 5, 2011 at 00:19 #353829Well, I backed BZ at Chelters and he was quashed fair and square by SE. Come Chelters next time round I think SE will have his day again – it really is a matter of horses for courses on these two.
