That was it purwell. Looked very odd
Heard a cuckoo last week. Chichester canal.
This thread certainly take a left turn
June 3, 2022 at 15:24 #1600220On another tangent. Loved watching the hares on the fens. Then thought of the likes of the always creepy mark Prescott who thinks they are for sport. Or would rather not think of the **** frankly
June 3, 2022 at 15:54 #1600229I would have guessed Nightjar too, honest! Never knowingly seen or heard one though, and I haven’t heard a Cuckoo for several years: in the woods around Nostell Priory, Wakefield if memory serves
I’ve always enjoyed seeing and hearing birds – like most I guess – but it was those almost daily long walks and bike rides during the eerie peace of the first lockdown that really sparked an interest
Hares are a not uncommon sight from the speeding train on the flatlands between York and Darlington
June 4, 2022 at 05:42 #1600398Given that he was booed as he arrived at St Paul’s Cathedral yesterday morning, will Bozo finally realise that a lot of people are unhappy with him? 🤔
June 4, 2022 at 06:00 #1600399According to the right wing press it was Harry and Meghan who were being booed. Video evidence would suggest otherwise. Just what is it about her that they don’t like?
June 4, 2022 at 11:39 #1600443Meghan Markle is, by some considerable margin, the most attractive woman to be associated with the Royal Family in my lifetime.
And she once gave Piers Morgan the brush off.
What more does the lady have to do in order to win over the fawning, deferential, Daily Mail massive?

June 4, 2022 at 20:40 #1600635Richard. No possibility that she actually might not be a very nice person ?
I avoid Royal stories like the plague but from th e little I’ve seen it seems her actual family can’t stand her and the turnover of her aides was like a revolving door
June 4, 2022 at 21:03 #1600638Well….
I didn’t realise but hmmm.
Il,leave that there
June 5, 2022 at 10:31 #1600727There’s no doubt plenty of unpleasant famous people out there including royals but they don’t get the same treatment from the media so there must be something else in it.
Not that any of it particularly bothers me tbh. I’ve never met any of them and never will so I’m not really interested in taking sides. Same goes for that Depp/Heard stuff, people have picked their ‘side’ and no amount of evidence either way will change their mind.
June 5, 2022 at 10:54 #1600735Maybe. I don’t really know in truth
June 5, 2022 at 14:51 #1600770We used to have a lot of respect for Meghan and Harry as they did a lot of unpublicised charity work in Nottingham but I now seriously question her motives now. And I really don’t want to think that.
June 5, 2022 at 15:55 #1600790Boris only heard cheers …..along with the voices in his head , they be fingernails marks on the floor when he gets dragged out of no10 …..some are saying they now have the number of letters required to set this in motion
June 5, 2022 at 17:41 #1600802“Boris only heard cheers …..”
The crowd were actually saying Boo-oris.
June 5, 2022 at 18:12 #1600806Lmao Glad
June 5, 2022 at 19:01 #1600810Good to see there’s another Simpsons aficionado here, HDLG. 👍
June 5, 2022 at 19:16 #1600815‘I was saying Boooris’.
Haven’t seen The Simpsons for years but it was brilliant at its best.
