What a very unpleasant man you are Clive. Write what you will, don’t expect a
reply. The 3.5 was a simple typo, I couldn’t give a sh*t if you believe that
    or not.

I hope your slander, for your sake, isn’t picked up by the appropriate police
internet unit that trawls for such comments. Especiallly a politician being
called a sex pest and a pervert. Good luck with that one.

Incidently it wasn’t me that clicked on the innapropriate content, again I
couldn’t give a monkeys if you believe that or not.

who do they expect to bail them out” I was of the opinion
we were all stillpart of the UK, not THEM.

    This is just bizarre

Boasting about the devolved governments own spending which they’ve lost control of and then “it’s all our problem”

    Errr. No

Clive, if you think England doesn’t have a drugs problem, you really need to get out more. Where I live we’re absolutely plagued. Aside from the addicts themselves, we have the dealers driving high-powered vehicles around residential streets at high speeds 24 hours a day and threatening residents with impunity. Nobody cares. Police do nothing. Fear? Under-funding? Corruption? Probably all three.

It’s light years beyond “people having a bit of Charlie or a joint” because, frankly, back in the day….

    I never said that

I stated that Scotland’s is far worse. That’s all

I will also state that I have nothing against that region of the uk and actually love haggis

In fairness I can do my bit and we all can to address the problem

Tomorrow night I’ll promise to slow down a little in my top of range Beamer

Tbh richard I like the region a lot and had two of my best holidays ever there. Just don’t like the nationalism

Is it only Scottish nationalism you dislike, Clive?

I believe in the sanctity of the nation state colin.

I certainly don’t like the English Jacob Rees most farage drivel if that’s what you mean

I’m very London centric and love the city far more than anywhere in the uk so that should be telling in itself.

Actually thought of this at weekend. Cycling in loveky Sussex on Saturday but po faced scowling drivers never giving an inch (and ive found other counties worse in fact l..Oxfordshire). Yesterday. East and south London. Everyone out and a genuinely upbeat smiley vibe and drivers waving me through at every opportunity. London is a buzz and that’s largely because of the mix I believe

Always amazes me how Latin American south London is now too. Colombians Brazilians. Love it

    Small sample obviously

Nationalism and division was epitomized by the freak relishing floating the threat of closing the border (impossible) during covid. And look at the anglophobia that generated amongst those who couldn’t wait to be triggered

And of course every restriction had to be just pointlessly just a little different than England’s. Just to confuse issues but mainly to make a petty childish point

Clive, I’m only a simple Taff – “sanctity of the nation state” – you win.

I’m glad your are happy living in London. The ‘big city’ life appeals to me as well but I’m afraid I have never convinced madam about its advantages.

Lot to be said for it colin and been very very impressed with manchester on recent visits too. A seriously vibrant city

Nothing against the countryside colin but they should leave their sisters alone because there are too many kids with vacant expressions and big ears

‘Cycling in loveky Sussex on Saturday but po faced scowling drivers never giving an inch ‘

Does make me laugh how wound up drivers get about cyclists and I don’t cycle. There’s a B road round here popular with cyclists and I get far more trouble from s*** driving than I do cyclists but most people just whinge about cyclists. ‘They don’t pay road tax’ is my favourite one. Well no, it’s based on emissions so why should they?

Have to say though, the new rule about giving 1.5m or whatever it is when passing is quite well obeyed round here. I was surprised. Still plenty pass too close but it’s definitely improved more than I expected.

Agree Richard. Generally its ok ive found but in cycling friendly areas everyone just gets along. Its not difficult

Often ive found other cyclists the biggest pain. Especially those once a week Ironman racers who are compensating for the fact that they cant get it up anymore and their wife is banging her fitness trainer

Nicola Sturgeon will always win the best turned out award: impeccably groomed and dressed

York, being as flat as a pancake, is a cyclists’ city and by-and-large the relationship with drivers is fine, helped by the fact that there’s been a long tradition of driving cyclists and cycling drivers, not one or the other. Knobheads in both cohorts though: c’est la vie

If I had to nominate a favourite city it would be Edinburgh: the setting, numerous green spaces, and genteel elegance of the Georgian Terraces contribute to a relaxing atmosphere

Being a gent who finds contentment enough in simple pleasures I really just enjoy visiting here, there and everywhere: no particular place to go

I’ll be down in The Smoke sometime soon and plan to visit the Wetland Centre in Barnes. Would you recommend it Clivexxxx?

Barnes itself is very nice too.
