You’re probably right HDLG, she is a bit of a pariah I suppose.
I mean who would want to stay in a country where you can go to
University for free rather than pay £28,000. Or no matter what
prescriptions you need they are all free.A babybox for all new mothers providing essentials forthe first
6 months (Ireland have now followed us with this)Child Paymentsof £20 per week PER CHILD. The only country in
the Uk to do this. Plus 1,140 hours of free childcareI could go on, awww gowan gowan I will
Free Personal Nursing Care for everyone who needs it,
regardless of age.Free bus travel for Pensioners, disabled and all under 22
Free dental care for all under 26, only country in the UK
to do this. Now who would want to live in a country like this
Sure there are things that go wrong, you wan’t me to start listing
down south? Every country in Europe gets things wrong, and we all
owe a sh*tload of money, but at least I think we’re trying to take
care of those that need it.May 29, 2022 at 15:31 #1599709Back to the arrogance of Johnson. Not as if he didn’t warn us. This rather chilling interview is from 2006
May 29, 2022 at 15:41 #1599710Big G nothing is free , someone has to pay for it ….. As for taking care of everyone I refer back to the major drug issue in Scotland
May 29, 2022 at 16:03 #1599713That’s true HDLG, but it depends on what your priorities are that
determines where you spend it. Preferably not in the back pocket of
your very well off friends. You’re right about the drugs, it’s a culture that’s hard to break.
A lot is being done, but it is unacceptable.May 29, 2022 at 16:19 #1599715The drugs issue isn’t being dealt with , with worse than ever
May 29, 2022 at 17:01 #1599722No arguement that it’s not acceptable to find ourselves in this
position HDLG, but it’s not true to say nothing is being done.
Methedrone doesn’t seem to be the answer, there are far too many
deaths from it’s use.A new National Care Service is being formed with drugs and alcohol
being at the forefront, whether that’s the answer we won’t know.It makes sense that cops are being given Naxalone kits to carry
which can reverse the effects of opiods. There’s no easy answer but hopefully these efforts might help
save lives.May 29, 2022 at 17:09 #1599723You’ve got to hand it to him Tonge, he’s true as his word…..which
is quite terrifying.May 29, 2022 at 17:45 #1599729How long will all that stuff stay free if Scotland ever becomes independent?
My guess is not for very long at all.
May 29, 2022 at 17:54 #1599732As i posted cork. They already have a huge budget deficit and guess who they expect to cover that..
May 29, 2022 at 17:55 #1599733Drugs are hardly unique to Scotland, though at least the Scots seem to be trying. I see no evidence that anyone in England is doing anything bar arresting the odd crack-head for shoplifting. As we’ve been discussing on other threads, it’s even an issue on racecourses now. Since our “leaders” seem incapable of dealing with the drug problem in Westminster itself, I can’t see any progress being made in the near future.
May 29, 2022 at 17:58 #1599734BigG social care budgets have been butchered for years , as long as that continues the issue is going to be solved , Nicola kept telling us she was going to stop cheap alcohol being sold also ……still waiting , she has one thing on her mind , independence but hey she ain’t taking about it presently as she knows it not what people are caring about , to scared of inflation and how the feck there going to heat there home this winter
May 29, 2022 at 18:03 #1599740Drugs?
Even the bbc. “By far” the highest death rate in Europe
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58024296
That’s a bit different to people having a bit of Charlie or a joint tonge
And it’s increasing too
May 29, 2022 at 18:08 #1599743After the Pandemic and bailing out so many people, we’ve all
got money backlogs to deal with. Nobody escaped that. Let’s
just see if we can deal with it as best we can, all of us.May 29, 2022 at 18:12 #1599744The Scottish parliament has to sort out its own problem. Not “all of us”
Suddenly devolution isn’t quite devolution anymore when the money runs out
May 29, 2022 at 18:57 #1599746Scotland has a deficet of £3.5 billion.
The UK has a deficet budget of £128 billionLike I said, none of us have escaped the consequences
of the pandemic. None of us have a magic wand and as for
“who do they expect to bail them out” I was of the opinion
we were all stillpart of the UK, not THEM.Question is, in relation to the 1st question, who is going
to bail the UK out having lost billions with Brexit?May 29, 2022 at 19:00 #1599748Slow as ever
Read the links or don’t bother. Scotlands budget deficit is over 30 billion. This is another 3 billion not accounted for. Incompetence
For one more time. It’s being suggested that sturgeon goes to Westminster to bail her out her immediate blunder or cut massively the wonderful spending you boasting about
