This disgraceful apology of a Prime Minister has now decided to water down the Ministerial Code so that anyone breaking it is no longer required to resign.
Fascism is on the horizon and getting closer every week now.

I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysMay 27, 2022 at 20:32 #1599423It’s the left wing BBC getting at our cuddly PM again
May 27, 2022 at 21:27 #1599431Can someone please explain to me why, in a democracy, he can just do this without it having to go through parliamentary procedures….of course he did it when parliament was going into recess.
May 27, 2022 at 22:14 #1599433I’m quite happy that he’s staying. The longer this drags on, the more damage it does. I’d be delighted if he fights the next election as PM.
The other question is who replaces him, and I suspect that’s one of the reasons that Mr Brady hasn’t received more letters. Even ‘PM in waiting’ Sunak is damaged goods now.
May 27, 2022 at 22:38 #1599435Well I’ve written to The Speaker to ask why Johnson can just do this. No point writing to my MP. No point writing to Hoyle either, really, but can’t just do nothing. Sick of it all to be honest….
May 27, 2022 at 23:02 #1599437Made me laugh ITV had Dominic Grieve on (remember him) talking about this.
Someone who wanted to f… our democracy and betray the people he is supposed to serve, but was never like many held accountable.
I hope these changes give Priti the opportunity to have a real go at EU loving civil service mandarin’s who need a good kick up the arse or better getting rid of.
We’ll never move on until these waster’s are gone.
May 27, 2022 at 23:31 #1599439I’m sorry. Are you saying that Johnson isn’t trying to **** our democracy by just waving away the ministerial code?
May 27, 2022 at 23:51 #1599441He is just making changes to a bill where if they do something ‘a bit wrong’ it doesn’t need Mr snowflake, leftie, remoaner screaming and wetting their knickers crying foul.
No, if you actually understood democracy and going against it, think of the actions of MPs voting sorry betraying their constituents, the people they are supposed to serve.
A majority instruction was given, but no certain MPs voted to oppose it.That’s trying to destroy democracy, nothing was really made of that though and I wonder why!
The people however spoke in Dec 2019, and Boris carried out that instruction (not very well so far in truth), but saved our democracy.May 28, 2022 at 00:02 #1599444Johnson is destroying democracy. Did you vote to have the ministerial code changed? Did Parliament discuss it? Was it in the party manifesto. No. It has happened because one man decides that , if he breaks the law he can just change that law. No discussion, no vote, nothing. That, to me, doesn’t sound like democracy. Dominic Grieve knows more about the law than the whole of this government put together (and that includes the current Attorney General who is just Johnson’s puppet). Which is why he knew that the referendum was based on lies and misinformation and was non binding.

Unfortunately I think this statement is probably correct, which worries me for the country that todays youngsters will grow up in.

Very good speaker with no ums or ahs and a subject she obviously believes in.

speach up. She was excellent. God knows we could do with a few more
like her who actually care about ordinary people rather that just
toeing the party line.Whether you agree with her or not, it’s heartening to hear someone
with conviction who isn’t scared to say it as it is. I doubt that any
previous Prime Minister wouldn’t have stood down in the circumstances

You might want to have a word with the well over a million people in Scotland and Wales who voted Tory giving them 20 of their seats. I hate them but let’s not pretend it’s only the English.
