    David,

I have downloaded it on iBooks and read it in one sitting. As usual a meticulous
review and in the main one that mirrored my feelings.

Again, another racing eccentric whose life, if dramatised on TV, I’m sure would appeal to an wider audience than just racing folk. I ended up feeling quite sorry for the old gal, in spite of her wealth and social privileges. But a fascinating read about bygone days.

They did have an interview with Martin Pipe a number of years ago about his obsession with Dorothy Paget and ephemera he had obtained.

Must get the original work about her, Queen of the Turf, I believe.

Anyway, thanks for the review even if too late for me!

Great review. I must admit to buying lots of racing books and not actually getting round to reading them, but this sounds like a book that is unputdownable, especially as it’s about a period of racing that I find fascinating.
