With the jumps season fast approaching, I’d really like to purchase a preview book to get some research done. Any help would be appreciated.

Mark Howard’s One Jump Ahead is a must in my opinion.

As well as stable interviews from Henderson, Hobbs, Honeyball, King, Lavelle, Longsdon, McCain, Nicholls, Pipe and Russell, it also has a features on Anthony Bromley’s best purchases, flat horses going hurdling, English pointers, Irish pointers plus Denis O’Regan’s 10 to follow.

If there’s a better book available at this time of the year, I’d like to hear about it.

OJA costs £7.99 and is available at WH Smiths (along with some other places I’m sure). Alternatively, you can send a cheque/postal order to the publisher.

Totally agree with this. Have been getting it fot years. Got this seasons last week. It has to be just about the best value out there. I use it constantly throughout the season.

The Racing Post’s one is rubbish (They printed half of it upside down last season). The Racing and Football Outlook’s one is useful and possibly cheaper.
