Echo all above in wishing happy retirement to My Tent Or Yours and Sheikhzayedroad, both stars in their own right.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 15, 2018 at 23:12 #1389504THE NEW ONE enjoy your retirement you have been a credit to everyone

All comers, all ground, all beaten
December 16, 2018 at 00:36 #1389515Only seems like yesterday that we were at a racing club meeting and some lads from Birmingham told us about this good horse of NTD’s that was worth keeping an eye on. So pleased that he’s retired in one piece. I’m sure he’ll have a wonderful retirement.
December 17, 2018 at 18:10 #1389642Pleased to say that oneof my very favourites, Seeyouatmidnight has made it out in one piece, failing to recovery from injury. He’s fit and well though.
Had many a good day with him, and he can boast a Rendlesham, Dipper, and also The Colin Parker Memorial, where he beat Bristol De Mai. Many other good runs, including a third in The Scottish National, and if not for a last fence mistake, would have won.
Hope he has a long retirement.
December 17, 2018 at 18:19 #1389645I seen him win at Cheltenham on New years day a couple of years ago Bobby and he was tough and genuine!! And the Missus backed him that day which was a bonus

Enjoy your retirement Midnight
December 17, 2018 at 23:23 #1389666That was a fine performance that day Raymo.
January 11, 2019 at 11:19 #1392104February 16, 2019 at 14:28 #1397697Great to see Coneygree bow out fit and well, smashing horse.
February 16, 2019 at 14:40 #1397698Lovely to see him pinging round enjoying it…just couldn’t go with the youngsters any more. Nice of the Bradstocks to announce it straight away and give everyone a chance to give him a cheer. Happy retirement Coneygree
February 17, 2019 at 00:25 #1397768Thank goodness he went for the Gold Cup when he did. Fortune favours the brave and all that.
February 17, 2019 at 12:13 #1397806Thanks for all the wonderful memories Coneygree and well done to the Bradstocks for deciding that now is the time for you to call it a day and live out the rest of your life in retirement….Have a happy one.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 17, 2019 at 23:50 #1397857Have just watched yesterday’s racing and there can be no argument with the decision. It was wonderful to see Coneygree do his lap of honour after the race.
I am really sad that injury blighted his career but the memory of March 2015 will never fade. His Gold Cup win is still one of the best performances I have ever seen on a racecourse and had me leaping off my couch and punching the air in delight(with not a penny on).
I hope you enjoy a long retirement Coneygree.
February 20, 2019 at 15:16 #1398375Big Orange has been retired after an old injury flared up again.
February 21, 2019 at 12:34 #1398611Must admit that I thought he’d already been retired, it’s so long since we saw him (forgot he ran at Meydan last year). Right decision. Hope he has a long & happy retirement.
February 21, 2019 at 13:08 #1398616Definitely the right decision. A horse who never knew when to give in, his racing had to take a toll sooner rather than later. He became one of favourites and OOSG would not have passed him that Gold Cup day if they had to run another circuit.
Here’s hoping for a long,happy retirement
February 22, 2019 at 00:56 #1398693Happy retirement Big Orange

Never forget his Ascot Gold Cup victory and Oli Bell running onto the course bursting with excitement and then the impromptu chat with HRH afterwards
So well named by Duke Of Marmalade he certainly lived up to his name.
Saw him only once at Newmarket in the parade ring walking past us it was like an eclipse of the sun, he stood head and shoulders above the other horses. That day he made all to beat The Grey Gatsby, the race was never in doubt. Wish him a long and happy retirement.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 22, 2019 at 15:37 #1398728Evan Williams has announced the retirement of Buywise. He was lucky to survive an awful fall in the Veterans’ Chase final at Sandown in January and looked to have had enough in his next 2 races so definitely the right decision
