The Alan King trained youngster suffered a fatal injury in the all weather bumper at Lingfield Park today.
RIP Bobbyjack.
Poor youngster – I believe it was horrendous – I won’t be watching the replay. He was the favourite for Lindfield bumper: At the Races analysis: took keen hold, held up in mid-division, smooth headway on inside 2f out, led over 1f out, 3 lengths clear and staying on strongly when broke down unseated rider final 125 yards, fell soon after.
In a matter of a split second triumph turned to tragedy …

That’s one race you wouldn’t want to see twice. The poor thing buckled and did a somersault at full pelt before the camera moved on. Horrible for everyone connected I’m sure. RIP.
I was at Lingfield yesterday and, unusually for me, I left before the last race – I’m so glad I did.
Having seen the replay it was horrible.
Poor boy, I couldn’t go back to any replay where a horse had suffered a fatal injury (although understand some have to because of their work), this sounded horrendous, a sickening way to go..RIP beauty
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...I’ve not watched it and I guess it’s not recommended viewing … very sad for a promising youngster but I’m very relieved my favourite jockey Choc Thornton was unscathed.
