No problem Gamble, good to see you post and hope you’ll stay a while. We need all the Lizards we can get around these parts.
Even Nathan hardly helps with the dusting anymore
September 15, 2011 at 23:09 #371064Yes Mr Pilsen
Nathan has left
the lowly trip stone here
for the highly esteemed
lunatic area where a man’s
worth is calculated solely
on his clandestine figure.
There some call themselves
letters of the alphabet
and mind bogglingly big numbers
and are searching not for the meaning
of life but for a way out and
for something that may not even
exist – while here we have
found it – the true bottom
of existence. This evening I have checked back through the
titles of the whole lounge area
right back to Phunter’s last post.
Many might consider this a worthless
pastime but for me it is better than
leafing through a copy of E.P.Thompsons
The making of the English Working Class.I hope to return when my schedule is
more under control but at the moment
it is hard payback time for years of sloth,
lizard life, and living in easy street.Burlington Bertie might have found a way
out but I cannot draw on anything
but the freshly formed calluses
that surround my fingers.September 16, 2011 at 00:53 #371065Don’t leave me here on my own, you
callous
bounder
Just a quick visit for me. Where is our great leader?
September 16, 2011 at 07:23 #371068CHA CHA
Far better than the mistress of the keys
you have the slender lady of the hats
and sitting in the first row an admiring group
of dust corn chomping dust mites
eyeing up the feathers and hoping for a slip.Having laboured through my bleak service
I seem to have omitted one important fact
of some significance still sharp in my memory.
As I lifted the phone of the video intercom
the connecting springy wire came into contact
and unsettled my first morning cup of cha cha.
I lost half of it to the thirsty hall carpet
and nobodyrepeat nobody
interferes
with my first cha cha of the day
The grumpy old postie did not know standing
downstairs like a human question mark
that he had committed the first crime
of his dies horriblisI have an even bleaker day ahead
because of my two days here
stretched out in the dust bowlSeptember 18, 2011 at 00:11 #371250I can now understand why you were so riled
September 18, 2011 at 00:12 #371251Think I’ll look for one more old thread to ttt before I hit the sack.
September 18, 2011 at 20:15 #371305Gamble , dear boy , nice to see a quick visit to the vaults of madness , you have been missed
I fear the main body of the site has ground to a halt , while Corm gets more milk to refuel the cornflake posters ….
Do try to drop by more often , BTW , I have contacted the sherrif of Gotham city and asked to organise a bit of liquid refreshment before yueltide , you of course are the star attraction , so do keep up and come along
Mr Pilsen nice to see your diligence paying dividends
Ricky

Nice to hear from you, Nathan. I can well understand how you are busy with the more important things in life.
I did try to PM you a few weeks ago but that doesn’t seem to work now, unless it’s been fixed…. and not to mention the clock
September 20, 2011 at 21:38 #371514I didn’t receive your PM, Mr P. Bloody function playing up, might explain why the book I won in the York comp didn’t/has yet to arrive…….

Bleak service[/color:2rib1k0q]
September 23, 2011 at 07:41 #371721Mr Pilsen
Bleak service is sadly the norm
in this fast moving world of blinking
lights and forgotten people.
Since the century turned
into the naughties
I have felt more and more
like a number on legs and despite
growing two more
to escape into the fields
with their green pieces
and slow moving chattering wool
there is no solace
no protection and no respite
from the big bad wolf world
that is bleak serviceHouses or forums are random
things and subject to unseen
forces that shape and affect
the direction they take. Some of the forces that
shape them are seen though
and if numbers can speak;
word on the hill says
its been a bleak year
here in the snowSeptember 25, 2011 at 12:11 #371987Ricky I could certainly do with
a krone and I dare say you could
too after your exploits in death valley
where temperatures reach 120Mr Pilsen you were quite right
about my old mac covering these
pages on a nightl
y fashion.
My life has though changed drastically.
and my recent contributions have given me
the headache of backlog and the suffering
of other people. My normal day now is sixteen hours
of activity and I have no room for
relaxation or pleasure. The last
time I went to the pub was months
ago and a recent doctor’s appointment
was heaven, I had half an hour
to relax with no interruption
and allow my mind to wander.I looked in here last Wednesday
and had every purpose to write
the next evening but when it
came to it I was too tired to
even write a word, but had the
measure of reading which I did
for about half an hour.I feel a huge amount of guilt
about writing now – but it is
a good form of relaxation,
but being in this situation,
I realise why others possibly
don’t contribute – they may like
me not have the luxury of the time,
or are simply exhausted.I have barely touched the markets
in six weeks – food markets yes( Greetings Nathan )
September 26, 2011 at 00:04 #372058My drinking prospects are
currently bleak Ricky –
that will have to change
and as soon as it does
I’ll krone you.September 26, 2011 at 21:55 #372143Gamble, this Lounge will be bleaker[/color:1y6kvdn5] without your posts.Wish I was busy 16 hours a day, then I wouldn’t have to bother myself The place is all washed-up
