Americanism – Most Valuable Player. (In terms of contribution to the team performance.)
Hughes has said that Vic Venturi and Black Apalachi won’t run next year, if they get more weight. I can’t see how Black Apalachi can’t get a higher rating, considering it came second, so ordinarily I’d have thought that will mean Black Apalachi doesn’t run next season, however, that is before the Denman factor is introduced . . .
Yeah only with Denman in will they run. Vic and Apalachi are both due to go up 7 or 8 lbs due to the Bobbyjo chase as well.
Have to agree with Moe on this one.I think AP gave DPI a very un-McCoylike ride!! He was sympathetic and calm and never asked a serious question until after the last really!! I am not a huge fan of AP’s but this was a terrific ride and one of the quietest I have seen him give.
But it does help if the horse is going particularly well!!And as for BA I think it has ran a great race and the jockey gave it a terrific ride and was probably the moral winner but Ladbrokes et al don’t pay out on moral winners unfortunately
