Another one for young Billy. It sounds like he is only a few winners away from going down to a 3lb claim.
If he ends up riding Classic winners and being Champion Jockey in the next two years, it won’t matter and I will take it all back, but right now I’d say he’s in danger of having the worst-managed claim in recent years.
He’d have been in mass demand for every major handicap this coming Flat Turf season claiming 7lb, or even 5lb.
But 3lb?
We’ll see.
The lad’s not short of talent, though.

I think if he’s riding the Brocklesby winner with no claim he’s not got that far to go, tbh.
