Have they got one and if they have, is it secret?

Sometimes they delay, sometimes they don’t and they never inform the racing public what’s happening.

Races can be held for over 5 minutes here for an Irish race but Irish races are never delayed for British races.

Why was the Southwell 3.20 5 furlong race yesterday not delayed for 2 minutes instead of being run at exactly the same time as the Catterick 3.10?

I understood that races were delayed to maximise levy but yet again yesterday the Wolverhampton 6.15 was allowed to be run at exactly the same time as the Meydan 6.15.

On another matter if a horse is withdrawn at the start like Magic Magnolia yesterday in the first at Catterick, why is it not immediately announced over tannoy that it’s withdrawn rather than leaving punters in the dark till well after the end of the race to know whether it is a runner or not?

They manage to make an immediate announcement every single time for late withdrawals in Ireland, why can’t they bothered to do the same in Britain?
