Should be a strong renewal, like the look of Bobs Worth at 6/4 this, has won first time out on a couple of occasions and I believe will prove just too good for whoever he comes up against.
October 4, 2013 at 12:11 #453451Looking forward to the NH season by any chance BHison
Agree with what you say Bobs Worth will be tough to beat and is tough to oppose but one who I think could potentially worry him maybe even win especially if BW doesn’t turn up is
Dynaste
.
Dynaste was beaten at Cheltenham but based on what we know i’d say the trip was to short made amends at Aintree over the longer trip. Only one run at Haydock in a 3 mile hurdle which he won easily so the track wont be and issue. Trading at 7s on Betfair at the minute, there are worst bets.

Haha well I was looking to put some bets on today but other than Chilworth Icon at 20/1 nothing took my fancy (back on topic now) so decided what better time than now to start my NH season research!
I agree with you about Dynaste, backed Captain Conan big at the festival last year with my saver on Dynaste. Was surprised he lost and as a result didn’t back him at Aintree but boy did he look good! Was a very impressive win and for sure what his connections had been waiting for.
Do we know what Bob’s Woth’s chances of making the race are? Don’t want to get silly and lump on him only to find out he’s missing it!
Sil Conti another one to note as he performs well early on in the season.

Not sure how reliable the website is but it says on their Henderson has indicated this is likely to be Bobs Worth’s first run of the season.
Silviano has a bit to find with Bobs Worth for me, I read somewhere Mullins maybe sending a lot more horses over here this season, however none of his lot are in the betting at the minute. Sir Des Champs would be of interest if he sent him over.

Hi Ben. I’m heading to Betfair Chase day so have been keeping ears close to the ground for news regarding possible runners etc.. The word is that this is definitely the initial target for
Bob’s Worth
, but who know’s what changes jumps seasons can throw up, as last season proved on several occasions. Hope this has been helpful.
October 5, 2013 at 18:31 #453723Which firm(s) offer ante-post on this please?

I’ve looked around can only find prices on Betfair. Not sure if it’s due to Betfair sponsoring the race as to why the others haven’t priced up yet.
October 25, 2013 at 08:12 #456068Silvianco Conti and Bobs Worth both short on the exchanges so looks as though they will both run as long as problems don’t occur.
Of the others so far only 3 are trading at single figure prices Dynaste who I’ve already backed, Long Run and interestingly Cue Card.
Will be a cracking race if the above all turn up, throw into the mix possible lively outsiders such as The Giant Bolster, Al Ferof and Grand Crus and its the perfect race!
October 25, 2013 at 10:31 #456078Ploughing through Haydock mud’s the last thing I’d want to see Cue Card doing on his debut. J Tizz said last week he goes to Exeter as he did last year

Bob’s Worth at 12/5 on betfair……..tempting
October 26, 2013 at 11:19 #456254I’m staying loyal to Silvianco Conti. Was mightily impressive all of last season and was definitely going to be in the frame at Cheltenham before coming down.
I was never all that high on Bobs Worth as a novice and although he proved his salt with his only two runs last season, i just wonder whether or not he needs a little more than three miles? I understand Haydock over three miles can feel like Kempton over four miles, but if the ground comes up good and they go a real clip up front; i just wonder if he’ll find enough? He reminds me of Long Run in that respect.
I’m not being a pessimist, honestly! I’m just throwing out a hypothetical… please don’t hurt me!

After not thinking about this race for a couple of weeks I’m starting to warm to Sil Conti as well, he’s still improving and his win in this last year was very solid with him travelling and jumping well throughout. Wonder if him and Bobs Worth will be given prep runs before this….

Is this true? If so why?
Never been to Haydock so maybe someone can tell me.I was thinking it might suit flat track bully, Dynaste.

November 18, 2013 at 21:37 #458893Silvi Conti easily if its good, Bobs Worth If there’s rain
November 18, 2013 at 21:39 #458894This will be an early season Gold Cup if all main 5 day entries stand their ground. Weather forecast doesn’t look too bad either. I’ll be heading for Haydock with my camera (and an early Valentine for Cue Card)
November 18, 2013 at 21:55 #458895Can’t see Bob’s Worth having the pace for Haydock. Quite like the look of Dynaste if he runs…
