Christ I hope I haven’t missed this thread too Bobby

I think that Matchless has a big shout at Doncaster today. Went down by a nose last
time out at the start of this month and only rises 1lb which is important as he’s
2lbs out of the h’cap. Won well on his introduction to this years hurdles at
Musselburgh last month. He’s in Neil’s Saturday H’cap and I’m going for the f/c
with Langer Dan who’s not been running too well in his 2 comeback races this
season but won the Coral Cup at the Festival this year. If he can find his way
    back he’s no 33/1 shot.

    2.40 Doncaster – Matchless 16/1 William Hill
    ” ” ” ” – Langer Dan 33/1 5 places Paddy Power
    and the rev f/c

Darn it, Matchless is a non runner. I’ll just go with my reserve in place of
him in Neil’s compy, Tommy’s Oscar.

    2.40 Doncaster – Tommy’s Oscar 15/2 Bet365
    Langer Dan 33/1 William Hill
    + the rev f/c

The 33/1 showing on Oddschecker for Langer Dan is wrong,
he’s 28/1 the same as the rest

Ann Hamilton’s stable has hit the ground running this season and I take Tommy’s Oscar 7/1 here as he’s better class than most here. Graded class over both fences and hurdles and nothing in his two efforts this season to put me off.

Just to illustrate the problems smaller stables can have, I was told by a ‘reliable source’ than Ann Hamilton’s under par performance before Christmas 2022 was due to a lack of regular work riders. She simply couldn’t get enough work into her horses but that clearly hasn’t been a problem this time round.

Will be wanting to get another 2lb off his back for the coral Cup today

Geromino back over hurdles. He was second here two years ago at a higher mark. With a claimer on board he is on a interesting mark.

    Geromino 16/1 EW
