hey guys sorry to be a pain, but nearly everyone i know has an MP3 CD player now! I’ve got about 6 cd’s in my car some of them totalling over 100 songs! That way you don’t have to be so picky!

    Greetings pop pickers

But one CD of what could quite easily have been a boxed set of Wagner’s Ring Cycle proportions (though infinitely more listenable  )

I actually have these (and many others) copied from the vinyl/cassette originals as .mp3 files on my PC, a format that allows circa five hours of music to be burnt to a single CD-RW, or presumably to one of these new fangled i-pod Wii thingumies

    Van Morrison – Stoned Me
    Elvis Presley – Reconsider Baby
Bob Dylan – Queen Jane Approximately
Fleetwood Mac – Man of the World
    Beatles – In My Life
Jimi Hendrix – The Wind Cries Mary
Chuck Berry – Never Can Tell
Aretha Franklin – Say a Little Prayer
Etta James – I’d Rather Go Blind
The Elgins – Heaven Must Have Sent You
The Pogues – A Pair of Brown Eyes
    Fairport Convention – Matty Groves
Tim Hart & Maddy Prior – Dancing at Whitsun
    Roy Orbison – In Dreams
The Seekers – A World of Our Own
Crystal Gayle – Don’t it Make My Brown Eyes Blue
The Doors – Queen of the Highway
Was (Not Was) – Out Come the Freaks
    David Bowie – Heroes
    Bob Marley – Redemption Song
Jefferson Airplane – Come up the Years
    Tim Buckley – Dolphins
Laura Nyro – Wedding Bell Blues
Derek and the Dominos – Bell Bottom Blues
Carlene Carter – Do it in a Heartbeat
    The Band – Rockin’ Chair
Joan Baez – Love Song to a Stranger
    Lovin’ Spoonful – Younger Generation
Freda Payne – Band of Gold
    T Rex – Ride a White Swan

I’m still pondering the second half of my list, and I must say I’m finding it quite emotionally draining because every song is so much a part of events in my life! talk about the soundtrack of our lives……..however, stops me thinking about work tomorrow!
