Never saw Prince Regent race so it has to be Arkle. The 1964 Gold Cup defeat of Mill House when that horse was at his best was as good as anything I have seen in the staying chase scene.
Without wanting to criticise Pat Taaffe too much, think how much more impressive Arkle might have been with a really decent jockey in the plate.
Flyingbolt was awesome too at his best.
