Call me Mr Picky if you like but Mill House never beat Arkle after the 1963 Hennessy let alone in 1967. By then Arkle had retired injured never to race again.
Mill House might have won the Gold Cup in 1967 but for falling.
Loved Mill House me

Always difficult to place these. I was not born when either of these ran so only seen b&w clips of Arkle whilst very little of GM. Looking at the ratings either Arkle was overstated or he was some horse – around a stone and a half better than Kauto when both at their best – can’t see it myself. As you say his 2009 KG demolition was unbelievable. His main downfall was his odd jumping error, usually at the last, but apart from that he was a truly brilliant jumper. In fact his two efforts at aged 11 for his last two wins were up there with the best I’ve seen. I think Francome said something on the lines of “it looked like he had springs on his feet”.

Ted Walsh actually thinks Flyingbolt was better than Arkle.
What counts against Flyingbolt is the lack of film of him in action plus Dreaper’s refusal to run him in the Gold Cup due to having Arkle already(I hate when trainers do that).
