Only doing ante post bets these days, had a good record last year hitting 2 of my 3 bets, Hurricane Lane 25/1 ew for the derby and Title 40/1 ew for the King Edward at Ascot with the flop being Sea Karats for the Oaks – a horse that I think is worth keeping on side this year, maybe being plotted for a handicap I’m not sure.
Anyway, here’s this years bets so far, apologies if I get the race name wrong I can’t keep up. I’ll post the amount I’ve bet to give a fair indication of how confident I am in each bet. For the record I’m a poor student so this money means something to me lol, but clearly not enough

£50 The Nice Guy 10/1 – old RSA Chase
£197 Constitution Hill 5/2 – Champion Hurdle (for some reason 888 limited me to less than £200)March 22, 2022 at 13:35 #1589332Put another £40 on The Nice Guy 10/1 for the old RSA, think it should be about 5/1 personally. If 2023 Cheltenham goes well I fully expect to be limited furhter, so my plan is to have one last hoorah this season. Also over the next couple of years I will have to prioritise other things like my studies so won’t have as much time to keep on top of all the horsey stuff.
March 23, 2022 at 11:42 #1589442Easy money The Nice Guy into 8/1 now with williamhill and Constition Hill into 2/1
March 23, 2022 at 12:12 #1589446Good luck with the thread Ben, and hopefully The Nice Guy gets there.
March 23, 2022 at 12:33 #1589449Cheers mate, fingers crossed! Used to be worried about injuries with ante post betting but it’s just the luck of the draw, no point even thinking about it!
April 11, 2022 at 18:43 #1593077Existent, a Stuart Williams trained horse is entered on Wednesday at Newmarket in the 6f Group 3, this horse really impresses me and has form over 7f so see no reason why the step up from 5f will be an issue. The general 10/1 is very fair but Skybet are offering 4 places (and there’s only 9 runners) so I’ve taken 9/1 with skybet e/w.
£25 Existent 9/1 e/w (top 4)
Thread total -£337
April 12, 2022 at 16:51 #1593254Another £15 ew Existent 10/1 (top 4)

April 13, 2022 at 14:59 #1593426Another £10 ew Existent 12/1 (top 4).
Threat total -£387
April 13, 2022 at 15:04 #1593427Bumped at the start, lit up, didn’t settle out wide with no cover and maybe Newmarket just isn’t his favourite track. There will be other days!
April 27, 2022 at 16:17 #1595853Another £30 The Nice Guy 8/1 2023 Cheltenham Brown Advisory Novice Chase

April 29, 2022 at 12:28 #1596068Cheers Sam, if all the bets lose then so be it, as long as I beat the odds I shan’t complain.
