March 8, 2021 at 16:58 #1528116Oh no. So sorry to hear this. I thought he might have been retired after his lack lustre run in the Betfair Chase at the end of last year. R.I.P.
March 8, 2021 at 16:59 #1528117Is this some curse on the former WPM trained horses, especially if they were owned by the Wylies?
So sad to see them not making in into retirement.Thought the same about him retired, Tonge.
May he rest in peace.

RIP Bellshil ⚘Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 8, 2021 at 18:52 #1528129Saw this on the Grand National thread and got a bit of a jolt. He was pushed hard to win the Irish Gold Cup and never quite the same again afterwards I think, although by the sounds of it starting to enjoy beach life and things with the new yard. It’s possible he could have had a last hurrah like Yorkhill but for this, poor chap.
March 8, 2021 at 20:48 #1528148Desperately sad news for all connections, poor boy. Sounded like he was doing really well in his new yard, such a shame to lose him too soon.
