    Yesterday Auteuil – just switched on and at the big water (horrible jump) this 4 year old seemed to catch the edge – broke fore leg … On looking him up I see he’s run 9 steeplechasers – only 4 years old and won one as a 3 year old … I didn’t realise 3 year olds did chases … What next … Yearling sprints???? He was caught immediately so hopefully didn’t suffer too long …RIP young chap

    The water jump at Auteuil is quite demanding. However you dont see too many injuries. Though horses shouldn’t jump that kind of obstacles these days.
