I realise we’ve had to suffer fake galloping/jumping sounds for ages on the BBC. (That bird noise at the US Masters isn’t real either.)

At Ascot this weekend we seemed to have the very dubious bonus of fake crowd noise. It’s really got me into grumpy old man mode.

    Bastards.

The galloping sound on the telly irritates the whatsits out of me. It sounds like the going is firm when it’s actually soft.

Stopped banging his coconuts together immediately after the line. A sackable offence imo.

The one shaking the jar of dried rice at each fence did a much better job.

    Licence fee money well spent.

Copied from Betfair’s Forum – It made me smile :D

The BBC were questioned the other week after adding baby noises to a feature about a russian woman giving birth to a number of babies. The pictures showed no babies crying but the audio added on did. A BBC person admitted they shouldn’t have done it.

So sound effects are added to programmes to add to viewers’ enjoyment – the flapped rubber gloves for bird’s wings for example ?

    Really?
It just ruins every nature programme you’ve ever seen, doesn’t it ?

The BBC as an organisation used to be quality now sadly its a joke full of propaganda and falseness.

Fake sounds  unbelievable isn’t it?

PS! Jim McGrath is truely awful.

McGrath is a disgrace. Can’t remember which race but yesterday he stated that "the favourite jumped it well" when he clearly brushed through the top.

Also the fake hooves is a joke and really gets on my wick.

Forgot to add that the camera shots from about 2 feet in front of the lead horse shows us nothing either
