Baracouda is by far and away the most talented staying hurdler I’ve ever seen, although he irked me as he was such a lazy old sod. Looking back at some of his runs would also lead me to put him ahead of the Drever by a few lbs in the form book, but close enough that I’d back Howard Johnsons’ if the two were ever to meet due to his markedly superior battling qualities.
