Your taking all that on faith and trainers as much as the likes of elliot mullins etc etc are geniuses with the animals they train, everything “stays all day” until its beaten and everything was “spot on for the race” until afterwards “maybe it wasnt” chacun pour soi etc and a milloon more examples, they always live in an element of hope and in the excitement that they have “the one” thats what aiden does on the flat thats how all the greats view it “amedeo modigliani” springs to mind, “could be anything”, i always take what they say with great admiration but also great caution
The comment kev made regarding riding davy riding with his legs is bang on, i thought envoi had alot left, until 50 yards out, then i immediately was convinced there was nothing left and ive watched it over and over, there wasnt much left.
Hes by no means and 11/8 fav after this, its also a guess to say what was in behind him is any good, although i do believe your right on that, i think 1 of the 2 in behind will surpass him in time, with a horse like the cashal man etc in this likely to turn it into a slog, he wont stay. Once abacadabras (mengli khan) gets beaten, they will bring him back in trip to the supreme, where he would be by far better suited
January 8, 2020 at 23:41 #1479285Ham unless something comes from the woodwork pretty quick what’s bearing aba at the DRF? Trying to have a think but it’s tough to get one. I’ll be taking him on come Cheltenham no bother

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 9, 2020 at 13:10 #1479329Gavin Lynch and David Jennings discussing excitement around Envoi Allen vs Samcro worship a couple of years ago:
” Samcro is like a posh fella, a solicitor from Dalkey or something. Envoi Allen is more like a GAA footballer from Kells”.January 9, 2020 at 18:46 #1479371Your taking all that on faith and trainers as much as the likes of elliot mullins etc etc are geniuses with the animals they train, everything “stays all day” until its beaten and everything was “spot on for the race” until afterwards “maybe it wasnt” chacun pour soi etc and a milloon more examples, they always live in an element of hope and in the excitement that they have “the one” thats what aiden does on the flat thats how all the greats view it “amedeo modigliani” springs to mind, “could be anything”, i always take what they say with great admiration but also great caution

First paragraph – waffle
Horse is doing the talking, trainer comments are just that, comments.
Second paragraph – don’t agree
. Never wins by much, was just dossing in front.
Third paragraph – he is mostly 6/4 not 11/8. Did you back supreme by any chance
It’s fine to agree to disagree.
January 16, 2020 at 00:41 #1479869Shishkin 20-1
January 16, 2020 at 09:45 #1479877I agree Mike, took some 20s after that race yesterday aswell.
His change of gear when Nico gave him a slap was very taking. Huntingdon for the Sidney Banks next which should be perfect on route here.
January 16, 2020 at 12:54 #1479906Both recent winners owned by the Donnelly’s have been said to need further. Asterion + Shishkin. Doubt they both run here is my worry.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 16, 2020 at 15:01 #1479915AF will head to the Bartlett i think.
January 27, 2020 at 18:39 #1481028I may cash out my Shishkin bet for this. The Big Getaway will probably come here after his win at the weekend, and Shishkin the Supreme now that he is down to 4-1 favourite. Not convinced 2 miles will suit ideally, however owner will likely split them.
January 27, 2020 at 18:55 #1481031I wouldn’t be surprised if The Big Getaway missed Cheltenham but he’s an Albert Bartlett horse if he runs, surely?
Anyone know why Sporting John missed his engagement on trials day?

January 27, 2020 at 22:33 #1481058Hmmmm. Ruby seemed more interested in the staying race for him
That article confuses Big Breakaway and Big Getaway. Former is 8s with Sky for this, the latter is 12s.
January 28, 2020 at 14:59 #1481114Sporting John supposed to be going to Exeter next week for the listed 2 mile race Mark.
January 28, 2020 at 15:46 #1481118Cheers Kev.
January 31, 2020 at 10:19 #1481396February 15, 2020 at 13:35 #1482972Sporting John 10-1 NRNB
March 5, 2020 at 22:59 #1484684Id make it odds on after what elliott said that he wont run here now, soft ground looks inevitable and stamina is obviously a worry
