I think Oldjoesaid will win the bronze
Pavershooz to win Silver
What you guys think
September 16, 2010 at 23:05 #317895Looking at Ginger Ted and The Nifty Fox for the Bronze cup at the moment. Both available at decent prices, 44 & 49 last time I looked. I like an EW punt in these big sprints so they’ll do for me. Not sure if I’ll go for 1 or both, will decide tomorrow.
I’m hoping that conditions will suit Ginger Ted, and was happy with his last run, when he won over the trip.
As for The Nifty Fox, I seen him run over 5f recently, and thought he was running on well at the finish, i’m hoping the extra furlong will make the difference. Seems to have run predominately over 5f in his career, so hopefully connections have reasons to believe 6f will suit.

Great Charm 25/1 for the Bronze Cup and Joseph Henry 20/1 for the Silver Cup.

I got a theory…..being a handicap means all horses are supposed to have an equal chance, so any old mule can win this.. A mule that drives punters crazy has been catching the without winning recently. Either it’s stone useless (would have a great chance if it is) or it’s been prepped for this.
Just one of those sneaky feeling I got. The horse :- Cheveton
September 17, 2010 at 08:50 #317920Hello,
I agree with you Fist-CHEVETON has never won at 6f, but if you look at his last race he was blocked in and came flying at the end. I "think" 6f is well within his range and 16/1 is a fair price that will contract over the day.
Another who has been running well is HAAJES, again 33/1 is acceptable and could get in the mix with a bit of luck…

regards,
doyley

BaldemarSeptember 17, 2010 at 14:04 #317954Empirico for me
September 17, 2010 at 14:59 #317955Think you’ll need to be drawn 20+ for the three big sprints at Ayr.
Had it down to two and both have been mentioned already – Cheveton and Great Charm

Good Luck to all.

on ya go mateSeptember 17, 2010 at 20:46 #317987Pavershooz for me in this race
Why did you not go to the bookies then Fist instead
September 18, 2010 at 10:12 #318051Hotham for me. (if he decides to go in the stalls).
Don’t have enough time to list all the other ones I’d be worried about.
September 18, 2010 at 10:16 #318053Hi all,
First post and Dandy will do for me…..
Joseph Henry…front runner but may get caught but should make frame so each way at nice odds
However, at a bigger price I will be on Something….
Won at Epsom right on the line…..looked at last two races ….good runs up to 6.5f then stamina run out….typical Dandy Nicholls ploy…longer distance and dropping handicap.
Won off 92…….racing off 88 with Billy Cray taking off five pounds….even if he is only worth three pounds still off only 90………..one little concern…..drawn 11……….hopefully chooses to go high and expect him to be finishing when front runners have had enough…
Good luck whatever you back

In Asia Doyley and the nearest bookie’s is 1500 miles away.
No theorys for the Silver Cup which for me looks over before it starts.
Tiddlywinks has to be fancied but he’s had one very long season which surely must have taken some of the edge off him.
The one for me has got to be the favourite Definightly. Drawn in the middle shouldn’t be a problem as Jimmy Fortune didn’t have to ask him to go to the front at Goodwood he just cruised into the lead after a hundred yards. I doubt if the handicapper has got anywhere near to ctaching up with this horse and with Adam Beschizza (better than most pro’s riding today) taking 3lbs off his back he looks a goood thing to me.
Horse is a machine and I doubt if they’ll see the way he went.
Often you read on here about value this too me is fantasctic value at anything around 6 or 7/1
September 18, 2010 at 11:06 #318076Have backed Sonny Red to small stakes.
He has a race like this in him, is well drawn and has acted at Ayr before. Nicholls thinks the world of him.At 40/1 e/w (pay first 5-Bet 365 and Betfred) he’ll do for me.
September 18, 2010 at 11:32 #318083Defnightly for me too.
