Dreadful, unmelodious, dirge that means s*d all to 95% of those who attempt to sing it. Some traditions should be terminated – this would be top of my list. It surely only endures because people are usually r@t-arsed when it’s played. If the scots want to keep it – fine, but it shouldn’t be inflicted anywhere else. I’d rather listen to the whirr of a dentist’s drill.
