Oh no I’ve missed the slot to transfer in my horses for next week.

Been out all day with my daughter and friends enjoying the delights of a Spa before her wedding and just this minute come up to do Nathan’s Aintree compy and the Fantasy Telegraph racing, my compy, Bob’s compy and Pats Handicap compy and completely forgot about our ATR slot.. I’m so sorry Graham and I had a few nice ones too that I wanted to put in.
I’ll be back on the ball next week.

Was over the moon with Bristol De Mai and the way he gave Might Bite something to think about, he looked absolutely gorgeous and back to his old self again so sure he will be winning once more when he isn’t aimed quite so high..

Have a good week everyone and gets lots of winners in, I’m sorry that I’ve let the side down this week and after clambering back onto Page 1 I’ll be disappearing again very soon.
Well it is Friday 13th. Jac

I completely forgot too Jac! The first one I’ve missed. Oh well. I wasn’t doing anything as fabulous as a pre wedding spa day…currently smelling of sheep **** and silage and waiting for the last ewes to lamb :-)

Week 21 comes to an end, and we have a significant move to challenge at the top,
with James Jones (Gud Things) hitting it out the ballpark with a superb 230 points.
    Outstanding stuff James :good:

It won’t come as much of a surprise that the stable that came 2nd to James this week,
albeit some 80 point back with 150 points, was none other than our long time leader
Mike Nijjar (Man Superstars), who simply refuses to to be deposed. We’re down to just
a couple of weeks to go, and only 133 points separates our top 3. A great job guys,
best of luck and keep it going.

Well done Jac and Virginia (The Kauto Stars and Greenasgrass) with 100+ points this week
which gets the pair of you back onto the 1st page. If you can bag that elusive National
winner and have your star on a winner too, you won’t be far off.

I don’t know what it is with this number 59, but it’s getting like groundhog day. We’ve
been stuck on that position in the League Of Leagues for what seems to be an age

Good luck all with the big one tomorrow, I’ve stuck in a couple for that, Seeyouatmidnight
and Vieux Lion Rouge, and probably like many in here, I’ve stuck my star on Sam Spinner in
the other Bonus Race. He made a complete Horlicks of it in the Stayers Hurdle, surely young
Joe Colliver has realised that if you’re sitting on something with a bit of an engine….USE
    THE BLOODY THING

In the home straight now, best of luck for those withing striking distance of the winning line,
but for the rest, like me, keep plugging away and let’s see what our finishing position is at
the end of the compy. I know were not in a position to win the League Of Leagues, but I think
we have to give ourselves a pat on the back for being the highest up League, of the large
number (15+) Leagues. I think that with only 2 Leagues out of the top 30 not being in single
figures, it tells a story which hopefully ATR may look at. It’s something I’ll raise with them at
the end of the compy, I’d be surprised if they hadn’t realised by now that there is a heavy bias
    towards small team leagues.

Let’s hope for a few winners, and hopefully all horses to get home safely tomorrow :good:

Just read you posts Jac and Green, I’ve done it myself once this year, and a couple
last. It’s difficult to keep you finger on the pulse when so much is going on. Jac,
you’re up to your neck with your daughter’s wedding on Sunday, and Virginia, by the
sound of it you’ve been up to your neck in something a bit ickier

Life comes first, so you’re both excused :good:

I’m in this week (for what it’s worth, which is nothing if my Aintree form so far is anything to go by!). Got Wholestone, Anibale Fly & Petit Mouchoir, plus Diego Du Charmil who was already there (and owes me, I reckon). Managed a few points last week though Bouvreuil let me down yesterday.

If it’s any consolation, the week that I forgot, not one of my selections finished in the first 10!

Jac did you see the nice tweet from Simon Munir about Bristol de Mai? https://twitter.com/simon_munir/status/984780839446773760

Good luck with them Tonge, surely Petit Mouchoir only has to keep on his feet.
I’ve said that before mind you, no such thing as a certainty in this game

Oh thank you so much for that tweet from Simon Munir Tonge with that lovely picture of Bristol De Mai, I just want to go and give him a big hug.

Well done with Diego Du Charmil on Saturday, he was going to be one of mine too as I know we both did him last time out, he deserved that win. Jac :good:

Well we’re into the home straight, and as the winning line looms there’s absolutely
nothing between Mike Nijjar (Man Superstars) and James Jones (Gud Things) at the top
of the table. Two points separates the pair, with a slight gap of 145 points back to
Sean Rock (Spital Lodge) in 3rd. That’s not an impossible gap to bridge, and the fact
that only 34 points separates the 4 places between Sean in 3rd place, from Heston Valentino
(Jan Molby Blood Eagle) in 6th, then it’s pretty clear that the fight for League winner
    is still wide open.

With so many Bonus Races in the last week, someone might just run up a cricket score
if they land a few of them. Too many races to do a run down on, I’m not quite in the Venture To
Cognac league, but here they are.

    Saturday 21/04 Scottish grand NationalAyr
Tuesday 24/04 Champion Chase at Punchestown
Wednesday 25/04 Gold Cup Chase at Punchestown
Thursday 26/04 Champion Stayers Hurdle at Punchestown
Friday 27/04 Champion Hurdle at Punchestown
Saturday 28/04 Bet365 Gold Cup Chase at Sandown

I’ll update the league positions tomorrow in case anyone has runners. Good luck
with your transfers, as always they have to be in by 9PM tomorrow, Friday 20/04/18,
(Jac and Green did you set your alarm  ), it’s the last chance for glory :good:

Good stuff jac, and congratulations on Star Of Southwold today, 28/1 with your nap on him :yahoo:
that was inspired stuff. I did well enough, I had him too and did have a bet, so the flat has
been good to me this week with a couple of big odds winners at the Craven meeting :good: I hope
I can get 2 or 3 big bonus race winners, my aim now is to get back to page one although that’s going
to be a big ask. You are only one step off it Jac, and I’d put money on you getting back there :good:

Appologies, I don’t know where I got the 9pm deadline from, but it is as
always 11pm today. A point has been raised to me, and it is a valid one.
Normally the game week is Saturday to Friday, but as the last day of the
competition is Saturday 28the April, I assumed that they had extended the
final week to include that one day (Saturday 28th). I can’t see them having
a one day week, but as this has been queried I’ve checked and can’t see this
mentioned in the rules. I’ve contacted them on the feedback button, and will
give a definitive answer when they get back to me. They normally answer pretty
swiftly so hopefully I can get back to everyone this morning.

Got my transfers in early just to be sure! Scottish GN too hard for me so I’ve used my transfers for horses in the Punchestown bonus races.

Well done with Diego du Charmil last week Tonge. He jumped beautifully and it was lovely to watch.

Ok, hold that thought. This is the 2nd last week, they are going to run a 1 day
week to conclude the competition. It seems a bit odd to me, but that’s the way
they will finish. I hope most, like me, wait til later on today to put their
transfers in as the Bonus Race Bet365 Gold cup will not be included in
    this week

I’m sorry if I’ve mislead any here, and I hope nobody has made any transfers yet
which include that race as it will be the sole Bonus race next week.

It’s a crucial time in the competition, so again I apologise for getting this wrong.
What a time to make a howler

Week 22 now complete, and as I mentioned yesterday there is only 2 points separating
Mike and James at the top of the league, with Sean Rock in 3rd some 135 points adrift.
A further 34 points separates 3rd and 6th place. The big mover this week is Charles
Olney (Slouch House) who was top scorer with 120 points, which boosted Charles from
11th to 7th. That’s a great move Charles, and it puts you into the mix with so many
Bonus Races this week, very well done :good:

Our league position is 61st, which, as I explained before, is still well ahead of any
league with more than 15 stables in their league. Small leagues clearly win this hands
down. The top 10 in the League of Leagues are all single figure leagues, the highest having
7 stables. In fact, in the top 30 leagues, only have 3 leagues have more than 10 stables,
the highest having 14. To look at our league another way, if taking the average of the top
10 stables, we would be sitting 3rd with an average of 2122 points. Even taking the top 20
stables, we would be sitting in 5th place with an average of 1972 points. So all things
considered I think we did TRF proud. It might be a bit of back slapping, but what the heck,
    very well done us :good:

Let’s hope we can finish off this week, and next (oops) with a bit of a flourish :good:

Like green I got my transfers in early today and hoping to make up for some lost ground last Saturday if Silsol wins the Scottish National. Seem to have a lot that I left in running next week so maybe that will help. Un De Sceaux has my star this week so fingers crossed.

Talking of Stars, so pleased that you put some cash on Star Of Southwold Graham, I backed him because I had spotted him in his last race putting in some good work in the last two furlongs behind his stable companion Tigre Du Terre who was 2nd.. and you would have fallen in love with him had you seen him in the paddock yesterday a real Black Beauty. Seemed like the whole of his syndicate where at Newmarket yesterday to cheer him home because as he hit the front and pulled away from African Jazz the whole stand in front of us errupted and you would never have believed the 28/1 outsider was pulling away from the field, it was a fantastic day end to a perfect week as my daughter’s wedding went of beautifully too, lots of happy faces what more could you ask for…

Good luck to all this week and great updates Graham, keep them coming to keep us all on our toes…Jac :rose:
