I see that ATR won best sport service beating RUK.
I know lots of you on the TRF dislike ATR because of various presenters but for a free service you cannot beat it.
I know they show a lot of adverts but for just watching horse racing they are good.
Its a shame RUK could not be free then we could perhaps get rid of some of the very boring presenters they have on there, Tom Ryan to name but one.
Keep it up Matt and crew you are entertaining
August 23, 2008 at 00:09 #177751Overall I like ATR and Racing UK’s presenters equally, for different reasons, but what is inarguable is that ATR put more effort into their programming beyond the racing itself, with the Racing News / Get On!, Sunday Forum and various stable features. It’s a shame that Racing UK don’t have an equivalent of Racing News on a Saturday.

To say ATR is free is a myth, if you purchase a satellite dish and receiver to receive ATR & RUK you will not get either free. To receive ATR you will have to pay a minimum of £18 a month and to receive RUK £12.99 a month.
On the basis that you are saying ATR is free you may as well say RUK is free with the other Setanta Sports channels.
A major down with ATR coverage is the deliberately imposed 4 second delay on the pictures when they have previously shown they can transmit them far quicker. I refer you to the farce with the "red" button some time ago.
As for "Keep it up Matt" he’s got to be the most annoying presenter in horse race broadcasting and can spoil a good days racing single handedly.August 23, 2008 at 07:43 #177766most horseracing boring to watch, matt allways entertaining

August 23, 2008 at 10:20 #177779luv it, straight out of the betfair forum, anonymous cowards slagging off.
August 23, 2008 at 10:31 #177781One thing i like about you though Barry is that you have an opinion and dont sit on the fence in case you offend anyone.
At least if you do slag someone off then they know and you dont have to walk on eggshells.
August 23, 2008 at 11:14 #177785as much as i cannot abide ATR cannot help but watch matt chapman for entertainment value but lets be honest he does talk some c…p at times, cant help feeling RUK really should have some kind of forum or studio based programme.
August 23, 2008 at 11:41 #177792I too find Barry Dennis boring and outdated. Nothing anonymous here.
