Couldn’t help but be drawn to the assessment of the Stratford going on the Post website yesterday lunchtime;

July 20, 2009 at 13:45 #240203I found The Sunday Forum boring yesterday. Do a feature on going by all means but an hour and a half of it?
July 22, 2009 at 10:06 #240411Greg Wood describes the going at Ffos Las yesterday as "Going no worse than good despite heavy rain".
It seems the track has been artificially built to drain, just like the straight mile at the new Ascot. Going forward it seems reasonable to conclude that Ffos Las will have the same problems when it comes to watering. Will take some amount of the stuff to stay within BHA guidelines come a long dry spell.
July 22, 2009 at 11:35 #240415We don’t get many long dry spells in South Wales.
