43 entries – weights to be published tomorrow but the ORs tell you what to expect.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 18, 2023 at 17:52 #1651918Have gone close here on occasions and my top figures for this one are:
117 Bring On The Night
113 Ahorsewithnoname
109 East Asia
106 Calling The Wind
106 Weston
106 Pleasant ManThe top two are trained by leading jumps trainers, lightly raced and presumably aimed specifically at this. Top rated went close here last year, second rated ran creditably in the Cesarewitch.
To make up the three against the field, East Asia is a type I just feel might go close at a fancy price (100/1 e/w 6 places 1/5 odds with a least two layers). Ian Williams has popped in winners from unlikely contenders in the past and this is worth a small punt. Hasn’t gone past 2 miles, but I’ll trust the trainer here.
June 18, 2023 at 21:50 #1651942I know Bring On The Night kinda bumped into one in the shape of Coltrane last year, but he’s up 3lb for that and looks plenty short enough to me at around 2/1.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 19, 2023 at 20:14 #1652048I like Zinc White here, should hit a place. Bit of a wide draw (car park), stamina not an issue, come back run at Chester was good.
Ridden for luck might even win.
Only two concerns, Draw and Bounce factor.June 19, 2023 at 21:14 #1652060I’ve a throw a dart at Calling The Wind 12-1 bog ew 5 places.
June 19, 2023 at 21:22 #1652061Placed in two Queen Alexandras, a Cesarewitch, a November Handicap, and one-time winner of the Goodwood Handicap, Calling The Wind is an incredibly likeable horse and Billy Loughnane takes 3lb off his back.
I still think Animal Rising would have a field day if they knew Mike was hurling sharp objects at racehorses, but I could see this one running a big race.

June 19, 2023 at 22:57 #1652086Tritonic could never be called the most reliable, and ran a couple of strange races over hurdles last season, but I give him a chance of making the frame here around 25’s
Tritonic EW 7pls
June 19, 2023 at 23:00 #1652091Not a race I have much hope in but the lucky pin landed on Calling the Wind
Ascot form, mainly the Royal meeting is pretty neat
and I’d love to see the trainer bag a winner hereCharles Darwin to conquer the World
June 20, 2023 at 11:28 #1652165I’ve had a little each way interest on The Grand Visir . Been round in these types races for years , liked his
Chester Cup run , drops a few pounds and reasonably fresh after light year or so , might sweeten the old fella up .
One of the last of Frankel’s first crop still going round .June 20, 2023 at 16:50 #1652293Drawn wide but Law of The Sea.
The more I know the less I understand.
June 20, 2023 at 16:53 #1652294Gone for Zinc White in this. Looks dangerous.
June 20, 2023 at 16:55 #1652296A staying handicap with 6 places available so of course I’ve lost the run of myself as usual and backed aalll the outsiders
Irish Lullaby- had excuses last time, yard going ok
Weston- Elliott’s only runner at Ascot this week I think. Good stout German breeding
Achnamara- I like trainer+jockey, wind op may help
The Grand Visir- loves it hereJune 20, 2023 at 17:07 #1652301Well done VF, that was decisive.
Plenty of ew money got on the thread too
