If the multi-lingual, analytical Marcel is a "thick n*gger", then what does that make Ron Atkinson?
A long-term unemployed football manager?
That fat, ignorant bast*rd doesn’t even have command of English.
I was watching Hanson, Wright and Leonardo together last night
… and I thought it strange that the only one of the three who couldn’t express himself coherently in English was the one who was English.
Wrighty is useless. They should dump him and bring in someone else.

June 14, 2006 at 11:53 #100435When Motty started rambling on about the Nazi’s as the teams trooped out last night, I was cringing and irate at the same time.
I thought it was a little ironic that he was going on about Nazis and there was the Croatian team in their checkerboard shirts.
Germany wasn’t the only country that supported the Nazis.

June 14, 2006 at 12:21 #100436Motson was guilty of that at the 98 World Cup, wittering on about the plucky little Croats and their colourful flag.
Wasn’t the red and white check flag the Ustashe emblem? It would be like the Germans playing with a little swastika on their shirts.
June 14, 2006 at 15:15 #100437actually it wouldn’t.
The Ustashe/WW2 chequered shield starts with a white square top left.
The Croat post 1991 independence starts with a red square top left.
This may be minor to some but it makes all the difference.
Its a bit like someone going to a japanese shrine, seeing the Buddhist man-ji symbol and accusing them of being Nazis.
best regards
wit
June 14, 2006 at 15:24 #100438Also, just to add to wit’ s contribution above, the chequered coat of arms of croatia wasnt actually Ustashe symbol, although they did use it both on their hats and the the Ustashe flag.
The actual symblo of Ustashe was a U. The flag of Ustashe was a red, white and blue horisontal stripe, coat of arms in the centre with the u in the top left hand corner.
June 14, 2006 at 15:34 #100439June 14, 2006 at 15:40 #100440Thanks for that contribution – my use of the question mark suggested I thought I might be on shaky ground. There may be those in the Balkans who see it as a fascist flag, but as pointed out, this is a matter of perception and I suppose some Serbs are likely to have a particular perception
June 14, 2006 at 15:42 #100441John Motson being neither a Balkan nor, more particularly, a Serb and therefore can claim ignorance as his only defence.
spelling edit
June 14, 2006 at 15:55 #100442I think I have amply demonstrated the danger of holding forth on a subject without doing a little research.
On the subject of Motson, I think he might make a better radio commentator, the need to constantly describe what is happening might stop him from filling air time with utterly irrelevant statistics and ‘Oh goodness me, look at that!’ type exclamations.

Actually 6 in Scotland and 8 in England…
this might help you
http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Football … 3_TRI.html
it’s got little flags for you …
… but you’d be right if Glasgow Rangers played in Holland and Wrexham was in England.
I’ll give you this one anyway … it’s pretty close to "fact" for you.
Time to buy your Rooney shirt Stevie.
Is this statement in any way related to what went before, or just another non sequitur?

Your French is crap.
And your maths is even worse.
Anyway………..Flags mean nothing to you scots. You lot are so two faced you need two flags!
At least the English know where we are from! Red and white. Its all to do with a King who bashed your lot up. White feces being turned red. Simple!
You Sweaties have a Blue background with a white diagonal cross flag, plus a yellow background ( to match the streak down your spine’s) with a Red dragon type thing ( to simulate the Scotish Female) Flag.
Stevies maths = Englands footballing abilities?
Could your Jason chap by any chance have any English grand parents?
Might be worth "Old Shagger Sven" checking that one out!
Anyway.
Love you, and hope you have a nice weekend.
That goes out to you aswell Janet. XXXX;)

I can’t remember the name of the band that sings this song, but their name translates into English as "Del Amitri".
