Members of the Milnathort Racing Club and Tay Valley Chasers Owners Groups attended an open day hosted by Lucinda Russell and Peter Scudamore on Sunday September 18th.
News of Outlaw Tom is that he’s likely to take his place at Hexham on Friday September 30th in the line-up for the Class 3 Betfair Novices’ Chase at 3.05. There were other possible races, including one at Perth this week, but it was felt that the course, distance and easy fences will suit the horse at Hexham. There’s a chance one or two in the 130 bracket might turn up which would make it a tough ask, but there’s prize money down to fifth place.
We saw half a dozen horses schooling, including ours, but couldn’t get a decent a shot from a distance. However, I managed to get a shot of Outlaw Tom in the yard:

He looks fresh and very well after his break.
News from the yard is that strength is up to pushing 100, with a significant addition in Tchico Polos from Paul Nicholls. This one makes the long trek to Exeter in early November for his stable debut to take in a race he won last year. Off a rating of 157 he will be vying for the title of top rated Scottish chaser alongside stablemate Silver By Nature (currently on 159). I’ll post a bit more about a few of the stable’s horses in North’s Notes.
