13/2 Jonbon to win this and 2024 Champion Chase, no thanks
I had 33’s the same bet on Shishkin at around this stage in his year

No strong opinion on this. Jonbon clearly the best of the British by a mile but it’s hard to quantify his form as he hasn’t had much to beat. The recent Mullins runners were good but didn’t blow me away. Maybe Jonbon will be good enough but this could turn out to be very open and maybe an outsider will come into it

Dysart Dynamo will guarantee a decent pace which will suit Jonbon
I’d rather Dysart Dynamo run than not because of that although he might hang on out in front.

The mad carthorse seems to have settled down a bit over fences compared to his hurdling efforts.

Difficult race to assess, but runner up and third were rated 138 and 133 over hurdles, that’s roughly where they’ve finished in relation to one another, and I think Dysart Dynamo might do a big more than just give Jonbon a lead.

The prices some of these favs are going off at across the 4 days now are obscene!

Facile vega, Jonbon, Hermes Allen and constitution hill are all the correct favourites but the odds are approaching criminal!

If you’re not on months before which takes a lot of risk then you’ve only got the handicaps which are going to ever offer value.

TC hopefully there’ll be EW value come the day. The bookies seem to have painted themselves into a corner with place terms at these big meetings, and on Saturdays. I believe Skybet started this, regularly offering 6 places, and sometimes as many as 8. Hills, Betfair.Paddy Power now doing it regularly. I’ve found it very fertile ground, especially for permed EW doubles and trebles. I bet in relatively small stakes, which I suppose has helped keep my accounts open (I lose often enough too!) though sometimes they’ll limit my stakes quite strictly (that tends to come after winning money, and they gradually ease off).

But it’s the area in which exceptional value lies if you can get on.

    All the best.

Nathan, ’13/2 Jonbon to win this and 2024 Champion Chase, no thanks’

Can you recall who was offering that? I think it’s a very good bet.

I’ve tickled Boothill e.w, I’ll be surprised if Jonbon doesn’t win and at bigger Boothill has already chased him home this season , never been to chelt but at his price I’ll hope he can handle it , he,s a decent jumper to

Appreciate It, Dysart Dynamo and El Fabiolo all running in the Leopardstown race
If Mullins runs them all here it could be vital Jonbon gets the tactics right. If he goes with Dysart Dynamo and the pace is too quick it could set it up for the others and if he gives Dysart too much rope it could be tough to reel him in.

You’d have to worry about Dysart Dynamo
unchallenged easy lead at his distance, Townend picked Appreciate it

Either he’s not lived up to expectation or Mullins has left a bit to work on for Cheltenham
if that were the case though you’d have expected him to drift today
