Glad that is out of the way!
I thought his jumping was OK and got better as they quickened up.
A decent horse like West Cork was struggling from an early stage.
November 16, 2022 at 14:56 #1623335Yeah the first couple of jumps were a touch sketchy but like you said once Aiden turned up the tempo he looked much smoother
November 16, 2022 at 14:58 #1623336His jumping was excellent
First he screwed his back end a little, but he quickly improved
The 5 down the back at Warwick are a tough test for a novice and he pinged them quickly and accurately
Monmiral also jumped nicely but got done for speed, he needs 2m4f
November 16, 2022 at 15:00 #1623337Yeah I hadn’t realised there were so many jumps at the track, somewhat reminiscent of sandown where the jumping down the back straight has to be good or you’ll get found out
November 16, 2022 at 15:01 #1623338Ham do you still think he has no chance?
November 16, 2022 at 15:03 #1623340Very impressive- but 7/4 when WPM has about 10 potential contenders is daft. Can’t keep moaning about these prices though as for now it’s how they are operating…

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 16, 2022 at 15:25 #1623344Ridiculous price isn’t it
But then the 7/2 pre race was also a terrible price so not surprising
He will surely be no shorter than 6/4-2/1 on the day
November 16, 2022 at 17:00 #1623354The prices are skinny. No doubt about that. But if the race was tomorrow people would snap it up. It’s only the risk of injury imo that makes it seem stingy.
Who can be put forward where you can say he’s likely to be better than Jonbon at this stage? His pedigree says fences, his form is the best of any horse entered thus far and he did a number on 2 talented horses on debut.
Yes it’s short, but the bookies have got to trim him at some point so I’m not sure how much bigger people expect?
November 16, 2022 at 18:38 #1623375Couldn’t have went any better , Jack has a point that the Irish will throw 2 or 3 horses at him but at this point he,s as bullet proof as any horse bar CH
November 17, 2022 at 00:51 #1623408Yeah mike, why would i think otherwise? Lol it was a non event, monmiral has been beaten off botox has 11 lengths, epetante 14 lengths eased, 16 lengths off not so sleepy
Why on earth would i change my mind based off that? Lol
Not to mention monmirals jumping was horrendous,
Dont get hurt when intake a strong view saying hes no chance, its the only way ill put money on something, i firmly stand by it, laying him
This far out around evs is a dreamEl fab should have and would have beaten him if not for one mistake after ONE previous hurdles run, why on earth would that today make me change my mind, el fab (assuming they both get there in one piece) will bury him and as jack said, theres about 10 other horses from
The yard that could do the job…November 17, 2022 at 09:42 #1623430Which are the ten horses that would beat him?
It’s all well and good trying to look smart by offering a different opinion to the one facts laid out in front of people show a coherent case, but unless you can back up what you’re saying with some form of detail then you just make yourself look stupid.
But reading the majority of the rest the drivel you post it’s hardly a surprise.
November 17, 2022 at 09:54 #1623432“Which are the ten horses that would beat him?”
I’m looking forward to seeing this list of superstars, too.
November 17, 2022 at 10:54 #1623437“He will surely be no shorter than 6/4-2/1 on the day.”
Shishkin’s SP was 4/9.
November 17, 2022 at 11:07 #1623439El Fabiolo does not have any entries for this weekend. He is going to be starting his season fairly late when he does finally appear.
Looking at the other horses prominent in the betting:
Appreciate It has no entries and is injury prone.
Banbridge, Mighty Potter and Three Stripe Life all look more suited to the Turners.
Sir Gerhard, State Man and Dysart Dynamo only have entries over hurdles.
2/1 might well look short for a race in March but to anyone who says that, what price would you be prepared to lay?
November 17, 2022 at 11:26 #1623441Rpr of 159 for jonbon
Similar to altior and shiskins chase debuts (both 160) and higher than sprinter Sacre managed (154)
Last season’s arkle winner edwardstone did 151 on debut
November 17, 2022 at 17:33 #1623471RPRs are woeful. They appear to be plucked out of the air in order to follow a certain agenda.
November 17, 2022 at 19:04 #1623483They are like official ratings just another man’s opinion
159 seems a tad high to me
If you’d have forced me to pluck a number it’d have been more like 155
