Firstly, congratulations to A.P. and Chanelle McCoy on the birth of their second child – Archie Peader McCoy. They must feel so blessed to have two after A.P. was told that his fertility was low.
Coral make Archie 33-1 to become Champion Jockey by 2045. Surely this is a candidate for the worst price of the year!
August 7, 2013 at 17:19 #447770Oh good grief, can’t they wait a few years for heaven’s sake!
Congrats to the family McCoy. Hope all is well with mother and son.
August 7, 2013 at 17:28 #447771It’s another A.P. !

August 7, 2013 at 22:38 #447810He might not want to be a jockey, but if he did then his father will teach him a few things.

I think that Tom Scudamore will more likely win a Grand National before then, like his Grandad.
August 8, 2013 at 14:33 #447837I think what’s worst is everyone knowing his fertility is low
. Surprised that baby is called Archie as all Irish ladies that I know [or see on telly] seem to always call their menfolk by their full name, not the abbreviations that other people use. Either way I’m chuffed for them and a happy healthy life to the young chap.
August 8, 2013 at 16:03 #447847Come on Archibald McCoy. Sounds about right.
August 8, 2013 at 16:07 #447849Some say it is a diminutive rather than an abbreviation. Don’t ask me.

As in the case of Ripon/Chester/Bangor Bet I see you waste no time in knocking "mug punters" although I’m not quite sure they had much input on the laughable 33/1.
As for AP junior I think it most unlikely he will steered in the direction of being a jump jockey.
Would have thought after about 20 years of worrying about her husband, the last thing Mrs McCoy would want is another 20 years worrying about her son doing exactly the same thing. With the amount of money AP senior has amassed and his knowledge of the job I’m sure he will also be keen to direct his son to something "better" than being a jump jockey.

Well how would you define such punters then – clever, shrewdies, big hitters?
Most of those who even bother to place such a bet would either a) have forgotten about it or b) be dead by the time AP jnr did have his first ride.
On balance I’m happy with my description – but fear not you won’t have to endure me knocking mug punters for much longer

THIS.
August 12, 2013 at 20:38 #448244i also agree 33/1 is a mugs bet but i also would of said that if it was quoted about joseph o brien say winning the derby before whatever age when he was born and we all know what happened there
August 14, 2013 at 17:53 #448363what is the interest returned at 5 % for 30 years?????
