September 28, 2006 at 15:54 #77960First time to the Arc and i am staying in Paris near the Lourve museum, i was wondering what Metro station is best/closest to the race course.
I used to live in that area, so I’ll field this one.
2 real options:
(1) Take the #1 all the way out to "La Defense – Grande Arche". Then take the tramway to Sursenes-Lonchamp and follow the instructions I gave earlier on this thread.
(2) Take line #4 from (depending on which stop is closer to you) Les Halles or Chatalet, then change at Odeon to the 10. Take the 10 out to Porte D’Auteuil and get the free bus.
Personally, if I was starting from the Pyramid at the Louvre, I’d take the first option.
But there’s not a whole lot in it.
