As good as it was Moore had all his horses flying at the time winning all races so the team had plainly been feasting on wheat-a-bix. Ar Mad looked extremely good but Bristol De Mai hasn’t hit the heights of yard expectations thus far. Eye catching and a good time, interesting to see how he gets on next time out, if he’s short enough and yard out of form would be looking to lay…..

The official handicapper was obviously impressed as he has raised Ar Mad from 130 to 155, which certainly rules out handicaps as part of his future.
Most of the comments above have related to races at two miles, but I see no reason why he couldn’t be stepped up in trip, which would then give him the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Novice Chase back at Sandown as an option, as well as the Pendil Novice Chase at Kempton.
Now looking likely to be aimed at the Arkle and still 28/1 with Stan James if anybody’s interested.

Almost 3 seconds faster today than Sprinter Sacre and, according to CH4, quite a bit faster from 2 out. It will be a real shame if he doesn’t act at Cheltenham
He looked to be outclassed by Vaniteux and battled back tenaciously.
Interesting to hear Gary Moore say that the track was a bit sharp. Even more interesting to hear the time(thanks SC).
You’ve still got yo think that the Arkle is Douvan’s for the taking but Ar Mad is the second best contender if he acts right handed.
Impressed by how he battled back, but might be more improvement in Vaniteux. Both have much to find with Douvan
