Any recommendations for Chester races?

Does anyone have first hand experience of hospitality packages at Chester races please.

We’re going in September and after indifferent experiences at Sandown ( poor table service in a tired looking restaurant) and Newmarket ( no audible commentary on the far side of the track and no follow up to letter of complaint) I was wondering if anyone knows if the Premier,Vintage or Prestige packages are any good……………or are you better off in the Grandstand or members etc?

Good and not so good experiences welcomed please before we book.

Been to Chester a couple of times and enjoyed it.

I liked the Mer sefaood restaurant and think it would be a goodplace to entertain a few friends or clients; because it is situated between the paddock and (is right on) the winning post and food and al fresco ambience are really nice

The 1539 restaurant might be worth booking a table or two in – if there are still any places left. The food and service are excellent. It’s open all the year round and has a deserved high reputation locally.
