So Ana Manna wins the 3.05 at Killarney but is then disqualified, wrong horse entered I believe.

The more I know the less I understand.

Following a stewards’ inquiry, it was established that Indigo Five ran instead of Ano Manna. Therefore Indigo Five, who passed the post 1st, was disqualified. Bang Po, who originally finished 2nd, was awarded the race.

I know mistakes happen but the trainer had two runners there and mixed them up.

Sadly that is Irish racing. Wrong horses, doping, drifters running poorly. Nothing said. Some people think its ok and that is the problem with racing not just in Ireland but in the Uk too.

I know it just doesn’t look good does it. Been quite a few lately as well. Do they have same stable lasses/lads caring for same horses. Can’t believe no one could tell the difference
And clearly the scanning of microchip numbers when entering paddocks has failed to

Apparently the trainer turned up late and spotted it immediately and I believe he was the one who raised the issue. Begs the question as VF says how familiar are the staff with the horses. Bookies have paid out on both “winners” from what I understand.

Both have star markings on head but one is Abit bigger then the others. Also do both horses have white sock on one hind legs

I can see how someone who knew both fillies well would instantly spot it was the wrong one standing in the stable, and also how someone going off just a description could mix them up.

The white sock on the rear leg is clearly different. I wonder how familiar the jockey was with both horses.
